Getting Ready

No one in the loser's club is dying, I'm gonna start crying if any of them did, so yeah. The ships are Benverly, Stan x Mike x Bill, Reddie. If you don't like them, you can stop reading. Georgie is with them this whole time. Modern high school au btw. They're all 16-17 and Georgie is 10.

Bill's parents were in Canada for the week, and they left Bill and Georgie home alone. They made sure they would be safe for the purge, unbreakable windows, gave Bill weapons in case something happens, and enough food and water for the week.

There were locks on the basement door where the losers would be staying that night, on every door actually. Bill had the keys for all the doors, and so did Georgie even though he didn't know how to unlock a lock. He just had them in case Bill lost his.

But even though they had all these types of protection from the danger outside, their mother was still worried someone would hurt her babies. Their father was sure nothing would happen, but there was still a big chance someone would break in and hurt them. He was aware of that, they all were.

But Bill's house was the safest to be in, Eddie's house was too weak, Richie's parents were out and he had no protection, Beverly's dad was home, Mike was scared to be alone this night, Stan's parents were fighting, and if any of them were gonna die they'd rather it be together than alone and scared.

"Okay guys and g-gal, we have everything we need down here. M-Mike, Stan, g-guns, knives, pillows, blankets, a couch, t.v., games, food, water, keys, locks, bulletproof vests, and our phones. And no Richie, you can not have s-sex with Eddie in the bathroom, just because we might die doesn't mean you can have sex. You're a fucking m-m-minor and so is he." Bill says.

Stan stands up and hugs Bill, "We're going to be alright okay baby. Just like every other purge we've been through." he whispers in Bill's ear. Mike gets up and hugs both of them, he kisses both of them on the head and sits back down. His back was hurting like a bitch today.

Eddie's cuddled up to Richie on the couch. Richie's holding him in his arms, "Everything will be okay Eds. We're gonna survive this stupid night, just like all the other times. I won't let anyone hurt you as long as I live." Eddie lifts his head and looks at Richie. "Do you ever think this will end? I mean this stupid night, they'll just stop doing it. It won't exist anymore?"

"If I'm honest, maybe. Maybe in the future, way in the future though. Like in twenty years maybe. But it might not end, we'll just have to hope it will." Richie answers honestly. Eddie kisses his cheek and lays his head back down on his chest.

"You nervous?" Beverly asks Ben as she sits next to him. Ben looks up at her with eyes filled of fear. "Of course I am, who in the right fucking mind wouldn't be? This stupid night is the cause of so many murders of innocent people, who wouldn't be scared? Knowing they could very much die this night, yeah of course I-I'm terrified, not nervous! That's such a stupid question, Bev." He says.

"Woah there, calm down, for me, please. Listen, we're gonna be okay, right?" "But Bev-" "Right? We may not know but it's better to hope than to just give up and die. So, right?" Ben sighs in defeat, "Right"

Beverly wraps her arms around Ben, and Ben hugs her back. Georgie just sits in the corner of the room, terrified, he had a friend that died this night, a year ago. This night haunts him, a couple tears roll down his face. Bill looks at his little brother that's crying in the corner.

He walks up to him, "Hey," just seeing his brother so sad, breaks his heart. Georgie pulls Bill into a tight hug, "I miss him so much. Why Bill? Why did he have to leave? I-I didn't want him to..." He cries harder, wetting his big brother's shirt.

Bill hugs him back, "I'm sor-rry, I know you miss him, b-but there's nothing we can do about him. I know y-you don't want to hear that, but it's true. I-I know I don't say this often, but you're very strong for dealing with this. Many people give up on trying to deal with this type of stuff. But not you, because you're strong." Bill cringes at his own words.

He never tells his brother stuff like this, he just teases and makes fun of Georgie. But when it comes to stuff like this, he'll be genuine and actually be nice. He helps Georgie calm down a little and carries Georgie up to the couch. "F-fucking f-f-fatass," he says and sits him down on the couch.

A few hours later and they hear the alarm and then, "This is not a test. This is your emergency broadcast system announcing the commencement of the annual purge sanitized by the U.S. government," They all turn their attention to the t.v. and they feel instant fear come over them.
