Chapter 23
The Eyrie was unusually quiet when we teleported in. Our enemies were planning to ambush us. We then decided to split up. I went one way with Polar and the Mountain. Tell, Orson, and Hawk went another way. Uhrmann decided to just wait for us at the teleport spot.
"I'm only a temporary friend okay, after rescuing Freya we're going to be enemies again," Hawk muttered.
"Deal," I responded.
I made my way to the center of the Eyrie, the throne room. It was a beautiful ornate place. I looked at the moon door.
"Beautiful, right?" a voice said.
I turned around to see a tan-skinned man smiling at me. He held a jewel up at me and smiled.
"Hello princess," the man smiled.
We started engaging in battle. However, he kept teleporting around which made it that much harder. Eventually, I managed to get him in a hold.
"Where is Freya?" I asked.
"You'll never know," the man smirked.
"Polar, now!" I yelled.
A sword flew from Polar's hand into the man's heart. As he bled out, he started laughing.
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Look behind you," he said.
I turned around to see the Mountain and Polar dead.
"Suprise!" a voice said before fell into a state of dream...
