Two of a Kind

This is a pretty short chapter, it's just introducing the baby a bit better and getting a bit of Liams point of view on the matter :) pls leave some feedback

Liams POV:

Oh my god. I'm a dad. Mam put baby down onto Sals chest and they were all crying. I felt tears start dripping down me face too. I hadn't had a chance to check if we had a girl or boy baby yet but they seemed to be okay at the moment. The ambulance should get here really soon and Noel came too see as he could hear the baby crying. "Well done Sal," I told her and kissed her head and stroked our babies head gently. "You done so well and I'm so proud of you." I whispered to her. So this is what mam meant when she would tell me and our kid that a family would make us feel complete.

The ambulance arrived and sorted baby out, it turns out I was right. We've had a baby girl called Lyla Gallagher.

Me, Sal and baby Lyla were laying on the sofa the next evening and Lyla had opened her eyes now. She had blue eyes but that can change apparently, she had my eyes in general though. The shape and all that.

Sally's POV

I've been a mum for about 18 hours now and it's been some of the most precious hours of my life. I needed to go toilet so I was going to put Lyla onto Liam for a bit. He had his shirt off because he reckons babies like laying on skin. I lifted her gently off me and placed her onto Liam. He held round her so delicately like she was made of porcelain and kissed her head. She made one of those funny baby sounds.

Liams POV

Lyla was my responsibility while Sally left to go toilet. She was an amazing mum already, and I hope I'm doing an okay job too. I looked down at Lyla and saw a much cuter version of myself, not better lookin, but cuter. And smaller obviously. She was dead cute. Mam came into the room and sat down next to me teary-eyed. All I ever wanted was to make her proud of me and she looked it now. "You want to hold her, mam?" She nodded and I gave her Lyla. "She's like a beautiful version of you when you was a baby, Liam.." she tells me. "Yeh she's a beauty..." Lyla let out some small cries and looked as if she wanted milk. Sally came back and I let them get on with it. I wanted to go find Noel to speak to him about all sorts really. "Our kid." I heard him say from his bedroom window where he was smoking a joint. "You alright Noel?" I asked him. "Yeh of course I'm okay. Sound as always. What about you, with baby Lyla and all that?" "I'm actually amazin." I told him truthfully. We sat quiet for a bit and I decided to go and find my girls again.
