AERO's POV

"How could you be so fucking stupid?" Thomas scolded Sarah-J as he drove us down the dark road.

I glanced back at Sarah-J and Ben who sat in the back seat.

Sarah-J sat with her arms crossed and a guilty expression. Ben looked outright defeated. He looked out the window and held his clearly broken arm.

"I already said I'm sorry." Sarah-J cried.

"Why are you apologizing to me? I'm not the one with the broken arm." Thomas told her.

"Because it's almost 2am and you're driving us to the hospital. I'm sorry I ruined your night!" Sarah-J looked at me and apologized.

"It's alright," I comforted her awkwardly. "Of course it's the arm you've already broken before." I looked over at Ben who raised his eyebrows and showed a fake smile.

I turned back to look straight ahead.

"So did Dr. Kieran agree to see him?" Sarah-J asked a couple minutes later.

Thomas looked up at her through the review mirror, annoyed.

"Yes," He seethed. "She somehow agreed to see him unexpectedly in the middle of the night."

Sarah-J let out a quick sigh of relief.

"Don't worry Ben, you're in good hands. You'll have the best orthopedic doctor in Toronto!" Sarah-J reassured him.

I shouldn't be surprised that they know the best orthopedic doctor in Toronto, based on the fact that they are very wealthy, yet I am little surprised to hear how easy it was for Thomas to contact them.

Rich people, I guess.

I let out a small yawn and cracked my knuckles. I couldn't think of how this car ride could become more awkward.

I looked over at Thomas, whose knuckles were turning red from how tight he was gripping the wheel.

I placed my hand on top of his gently. He glanced over at me and then let out a deep sigh.

Once his body relaxed a little I let him go.

I tapped my foot impatiently while resting my head on my hand. My body ached from sitting for over an hour in the plastic chairs that lined the waiting room.

I jumped a little when Thomas placed his hand on my knee. I guess it was my turn to relax.

"Hey," Thomas said to me quietly. "He's in good hands."

I nodded my head. It was weird to have Thomas comfort me with something about Ben.

But I feel like this was somehow my fault. I mean I brought him to Canada in a way, right?

We sat in a line, Sarah-J, Thomas, and then me.

"I should have brought my book." Thomas sighed jokingly.

I smirked a little and shook my head.

"You don't have to wait here." Sarah-J said.

"And how are you planning on getting home?" Thomas questioned.

She rolled her eyes and replied, "I don't know, Uber or something."

She scrolled aimlessly through her phone, giving me the impression that she might actually be worried about Ben.

"Yeah I don't think so." Thomas told her. "You clearly can not be trusted tonight."
