Chapter 7: New information

AERO's POV

As the pounding on the door got louder I got nervous. It almost sounded like someone was trying to kick the door down. Thomas went over to the door slowly and cautiously. He looked through the peephole and let out a big sigh. His shoulders relaxed as he turned the door knob.

"Jesus I've been hitting the door for like ever," Sarah-J complained as she dragged her four bags. She dropped them abruptly in the entrance of the house and let out a relieved sigh.

"Oh, hey Eleanor." She said awkwardly.

I'm pretty sure she still doesn't like me.

I awkwardly waved back.

"Sarah-J, what are you doing here? You're not supposed to be back until Sunday." Thomas asked shutting the door behind her.

"Mom and dad are coming back Sunday, but I wanted to come back because I didn't want you to be alone today, clearly I was wrong about you spending today alone."

Thomas looked surprised but also annoyed at the same time.

"Here I thought I was being a nice sister and surprising you for..."

"Who was it?" Parker yelled from the other room.

Sarah-J looked at us confused as she heard Parker's voice.

"Who is that?" She asked. "Ummm that's..." Thomas's voice trailed off as he couldn't think of anything to say.

"Hello?" Parker said approaching us. "Oh. Hi." He said stopping next to me but looking at Sarah-J.

She put her right hand in the front pocket of her purple shorts and smiled.

"This is my...brother Parker," I confessed. Not much use in hiding that fact. "Parker, this is Sarah-Jessica, Thomas's sister."

"Ooh I see who got the looks in the family." She said tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Sarah-Jessica." Thomas mumbled.

"See that's what I've been saying!" Parker agreed sarcastically.

I rolled my eyes and walked away from them into the dining room.

Thomas quickly followed me and whispered, "So what's the plan here?"

"I don't really know." I answered.

I went back into the dining room to join Lila, Cole and Ben. Not long after reaching them did Parker and Sarah-J follow.

"Jesus you're having a party aren't you?" Sarah-J joked as she saw everyone.

"No, just a few people over." Thomas replied.

"This isn't the normal gang, it's nice to see you branch out." Sarah-J said crossing her arms.

I pointed and went down the line of my friends. "This is Cole, Lila, and Ben."

"Hi I'm Sarah-J." She greeted them. "Wait," he faced dropped. "Are those Charlie's clothes?" She looked at Parker and Ben. She turned to face Thomas.

"Yes, they needed to borrow come clothes." Thomas told her.

She looked upset, go figure.

"I'm sorry, if you guide us to a store you can have them back." Ben chimed in, surprising me a little.

"The store? Why can't you just go to your rooms?" She asked.

This is a mess.

"We're actually new to the area, we're all transfer students." Cole swooped in to save the day.
