AERO's POV
"I didn't receive a PDA warning," Thomas mumbled to me. We sat at the dining hall eating lunch across from Aurelie and Patrick who were throat deep in each other.
"I'm here to eat lunch and I'd prefer not to throw it up." Thomas said a little louder and poked his spaghetti with his fork.
"Apparently they can't hear us over their gross mouth mushiness." I laughed a little.
Aurelie quickly pulled her mouth off of Patrick. He leaned in to continue but instead was greeted by Aurelie's hand over his lips.
"Sorry, sorry, what were you saying?" She said flustered.
Her pink lipstick was now smeared off of her lips.
"I was saying that on Saturday we could go see that movie we were talking about the other day. "Destination" or whatever it's called." I repeated.
"We can't but thanks for the offer." Aurelie said quickly.
"Wait but I wanted to see that-" Patrick stated confused.
"No, we're all set Patrick." Aurelie said not very discreetly.
I suspiciously glanced over at Thomas who was avoiding eye contact with me.
"You two have fun though!" Aurelie said smiling before grabbing her tray and standing up.
Patrick raised his eyebrows at us a couple of times before following her away from the table.
"What was that about?" I asked Thomas. He continued to play with the last few stands of spaghetti on his tray. He shrugged his shoulders.
I shot him an unimpressed look. "Thomas?"
"Don't make me tell you." He sighed.
"Thomas-no secrets." I told him sternly.
"But this is a "fun" secret. Not a "I'm gonna break up with you for keeping this from me" secret." He argued.
I let out a deep sigh.
"Fine." I picked up my tray and stood up from the table.
"Aero-" he began following close behind.
"You can't be mad at me now."
"I'm not mad." I said as I aggressively dumped my tray in the trash.
He dumped his and then caught up with me. He rolled his eyes and said, "It's a surprise birthday party."
I stopped dead in my tracks.
How did I forget my own birthday?
With everything going on lately I haven't stopped to think about it.
"I don't want a surprise birthday party." I groaned.
"Aurelie holds the power, not me." Thomas said defensively.
"I have too much happening. They don't even know who I really am! I really don't deserve a party." I sighed.
"Hey," Thomas grabbed ahold of me and stopped me from walking forward.
He cradled my shoulders with his hands and leaned in closer.
