The following morning Clay is the first one up.
This event was weird for the two. Usually, Savannah was up way before even the sun was up, doing lord knows what. Rolling over to his side, pulling Savannah close to his bare chest, he admired the way she looked in her sleep.
It wasn't very often that she looked so at peace. The sun flooded in their room.
He could tell his brain was trying to tell him to get up with the consent nagging resulting in twitching and random movements that would slowly progress but he didn't want to get up. Not now. Not when she looked so peaceful.
"Dream," she whispered, pulling herself away from him, "You cannot harness your ADHD like that."
"Oh- shut up," he smirked down at her even though her eyes were closed, "Do you want something to eat?"
"Too early. Can you make sure the boys eat though?"
He gave her shoulder a quick squeeze as an okay, and climbed out of their bed, already making a list in his mind about the things he needed to get down throughout the day. Almost like Savannah's planning, Clays was a bit more in detail and organized. It needed to be, truly, or else everything would fall apart not only in his mind but in real life too.
To step things up a notch, he had to not only worry about Savannah's well-being, not because he had to but rather he wanted to, and focus a certain amount on everyone else while they were in the UK. Even as a child, Dream thrived on control. In his mind, if he could control everything around him he could control everything that happened, which he learned over the years was the case.
Moving to the bathroom, he brushed his teeth, washed his face, and took a quick shower. Marking those off his mental list, he walked quietly into Savannah's and his room. She was still asleep in their bed, now taking up the whole bed with her body, with small snores escaping her mouth every so often. Taking a picture of her, he sat down on the floor right by the bed for a solid 20 minutes scrolling through his social media.
"Damnit," he whispered, realizing he was supposed to down to the kitchen and get something to eat and take his meds.
Standing up, he looked at Savannah one more time, making yet another mental note to wake her up in an hour or two since it was only 7 am. Walking down the hallway in his grey sweats and dark blue t-shirt, he made his way to the kitchen.
