Chapter 16: Summer Festival

I had begun a daily routine of babysitting Shina. Days passed by,  and then days those day turns into weeks.

Sakura turn out that Shina was eating ramen cup noodles everyday in my apartment. I got scolded for that and Shina has a bento box everyday. She's not even in school yet. 

"hahaha! you got yelled by mommy, Gusty ninja!"

Now Shina, is making front of me. An adult getting yelled by another adult is embarrassing.

Now it has been months since I started to babysit Shina everyday for Sakura. I though it would be every other day but I guess I was wrong.

"Naruto." she said hesitated

She called out my name, her face filled with the color of red.

"Hm? What is it? Do you want to take Shina back?"

"N-No. That not it.  T-Tomorrow."

It's best for to ask her husband instead a man who is single.

"Tomorrow, would you kindly take me and Shina to the summer festival?" She said looking away hiding her face and avoid eye and flustered.

I'm sorry.

"Repeat that. I'm sorry I didn't quite hear what you said."

"Don't make me repeat myself." She said still flustered

"Yeah, I know I like see your face being red. It kind of cute."

Yep. I might tease her more. This is cute.

"Well thank you- wait Naruto"

"Calm down, Sakura!"

"Tomorrow, you are taking me and Shina to the summer festival!"

"Don't you have a husband? If I were in your footsteps. I would rather take out the love of my life than someone old friend who just eat ramen everyday for it most of my life."

"That's the problem. Sasuke is the person handling the summer festival. So  he's extremely busy at the moment . And I need someone who is strong enough to protect Shina and myself"

Ding!

Sakura pull her phone.

"Ino just texted me. She said Tenten is coming with her friends.

Ding!

This time it wasn't Sakura phone that ring it was mine.

'Naruto, can I see the fireworks with you? I don't know anyone beside you that I trust to go with.'

"Okay, I'm going. But that doesn't mean I'm hangout with you."

"That all I need to hear. See you tonight."

She leave my apartment to go to her work.

"Gusty Ninja, can you teach me that move again?"

I was about to sit on the couch as Shina ran up to me, a sheer determination showing her eyes.

"Promise to not tell your mother. I'll get more than just yell at."

"Mhm! Mhm! Show me how to disarm a person pointing a knife and gun at you."

He raising her hand as if she staring elementary school.

Over the past weeks, I've been teaching a 5 years old how toy use close combat at extreme efficacy. Why you might ask? Once she grows up, she gonna have a lot of stalkers following him. it's best to do it now than later.
