Chapter 17: Sudden Change

"Where did Gusty ninja go?"

"Naruto?"

Those voices... why do they sound familiar?

I just have to use hand-to-hand combat

"I think he's in the bush, mommy."

"Naruto, what are you doing?"

Why do they sound so friendly?

The bush began to open and I saw beautiful with green eyes, stare at me with a worried expression.  There was a small girl holding a big Katsuyu plushie.

"The fireworks are done. Why are you inside a bush?"

I remember....

The beautiful woman who was staring at me was none other then Sakura Haruno. The small child was Shinachiku Haruno.

"Sakura?"

"Yes. It's me. You say it like you forgotten me."

I remember now.

We are at the summer festival. But why did I suddenly forgot them?

Did the fireworks trigger it?

I'm glad that I didn't actually hurt Sakura or Shina. If I do, I won't ever forgive myself.

"That was so cool! The firework looked cool. Like very, very cool."

"That very delightful, Shina. Thank for taking us out, Naruto."

"How come we didn't bump into Ino and her friends? There's so many coincidence happening, I thought it would've occurred by now."

"I also questioning about that. I will talk to Ino-pig to ask why she isn't here. I even got her VIP spot for her an. her friends."

"Do you need me to walk with you or something?"

"Not at all. I'm going to your apartment."

"Hold on. You can come tomorrow morning to drop off Shina. But going to a single man apartment at such late night.  You're gonna get rumor of you that you're cheating on your husband."

"As if I would do such disgusting act with you.  Who do you take me for?"

My feeling hurts.

"Never mind  then. If that the case, I suggest you would not drop off Shina anymore."

"Anyway, what was that about not dropping Shina anymore?

Time to be serious.

"I think it's best if Shina doesn't come to my apartment every time you go to work. I just realized that if you are in my apartment. You'll probably get a less of warning. But leaving Shina to guy like me? Does Sasuke even know about this?"

"I.....I"

I thought so, he doesn't know.

The question is why?

"Why? I think it time  that Shina needs to go to school. It's about time he has some friends."

I sound like a father.

"She's already being signed up to private school next year. But Sasuke...."

"Does he know?

"Do you remember  the first time we met, and ate dinner at a restaurant? You saw Shina and my husband?

I nodded.

"That was like the last time Shina seen her father."
