Chapter 29: K.I.A.

After work I got Shina from school, so I went to pick him up. Then we went home to  talked about how we both doing. 

She seem having fun watching TV. I will trust him to not get to close to the TV. 

"Mommy where did Gusty Ninja go?"

Shina ask me, sitting beside me on the couch.

Every time I looked at her, I am contained  with the memory of her smile whenever she see Naruto. Did I do the right thing?

I've achieved peace in my family..  but at what cost? I won't see Naruto anymore.  He's doesn't involve with dangerous stuff.

  Beside I am happy right now.

"He went somewhere. He said he doesn't know when he will come back.

Lying is always a bad thing. But sometimes, it's a good thing. In order to protect those who are close to you, you must lie for them not to suffer anymore. 

Like Naruto  lie to me what he did for these 6 years. He was lying, protecting me from sensitive information.

"Let watch the news instead of Scooby-Doo, mommy.  It must be tiring to watch the same thing.

She turns  the tv on for me and switches to the new the channel.

'This just in, the CEO of the Inuzuka industry, Kiba Inuzuka along with his wife and child, were reported to have been kidnaped. An anonymous caller call the police about his whereabout in abandoned warehouse. As police arrived, it was 3 of them. His child and wife, had bag on their heads  and Kiba was tied onto chair with many bruises and cut on entire body.'

' We will interview Kiba  Inuzuka, who just back  from the hospital.' ' This is new reporter Neij Hyuga, is it true that you were  kidnapped by some men and you said that you didn't know them.'

Neij, I haven't see him in awhile.

"It is true that I was kidnapped  against my will.  My wife and child were kidnapped in front of me. Those men were sick to the core.  I have accepted my mistakes and  face them head on. I deserve every one of them.

He not going to snitch one me? 

'This is indeed very strange. Could you tell us about these kidnapper look like? Do they wear mask all over their face? Are  they huge?'

"The only thing I could say is that they were Americans."

The screen go to other screen.

' Thank you, Neij. Next up, gunshot and explosion being heard from miles away.'

What?

Shina held on tight on me for some reason. As if she knew what was going on.

"Mommy, do we have to move out?  I don't want to leave Gusty ninja. Once be come back , he will not see us anymore. He will be alone again."

It hurt too much.  But I need more information.

'Many witness  have claim to heard gunshot  during yesterday  afternoon. There no one was hurt,  everyone in the area  is worried.  One particular recording  shows the gunfire.'

The screen switch to a recording from a phone.

"What the hell am I hearing. Are those fireworks."

"They could be gunshots. Should we call the police."
