Chapter 32: 7 Years Ago

"I just thought it was better if we should tell you sooner that we would be moving to US. A rich company  has 2 jobs  offers that extraordinary pay. More than  twice amount we get paid our current job. 

My parent confess to me about the news, as soon as prom was about in few days.

I am about to graduate high school.  I have to show up to prom because of some  pink-hair, green emerald eye girl.

She quoted:

"You wouldn't want to reject a girl offer right in front of the whole schools, would you?"

The damn woman ask me to prom in front of the whole class. If I were to reject her, I've faced the punishment of a lifetime.

"I guess it's best to move in with you guys. I don't even have a job yet.

I tried many interview on starter job but all failed.

The only job  I can think of is military.

"We love your decision. We we give our 1 week notice to our boss."

They leave the house and drive to work.

Then my sister, Naruko shows up, with a bit worry on her face.

"I've already told my friends that I'm moving out.  I just finished 1 year of high school. I heard that US  have 4 years of high school. years, which mean  I have to start freshman again."

"Even you didn't tell them, they will found out eventually.  You're are gonna hurt your best friends. You're going  to leave them  without giving your reasoning , without telling them goodbye."

I know it all sudden....

I always dreamed that once I graduated high school, I will look for a job live with parent for few years until I could sustain myself for the rest of my life. Maybe with a certain pink-hair, green eye girl but that could never happen.

"When the become right, I will tell them. It isn't a good decision to discuss it on the phone. It should be done in person directly."

"You're right.  I should've personally contacted my friends instead of texting them."

After walking to school with Naruko, I was introduced with a punch in the gut.

"Ino, I didn't do anything so early in the morning, why did I do to deserve it."

"You annoyed my voice  for few second. Were you daydreaming about graduation or retirement? I like to practice my punching. You can hold right or you pussy?"

"I'm no pussy, I can handle it."

She come toward me and reach her arm trying to pull me up. So in return I agree and reach for her  and I stood up beside her.

"Uh oh, Ino appeared. I'll leave you 2 be."

"W-What Naruko, what dirty trick are you  up to. It's just me hitting Naruto to the gut."

During high school, my sister has been messing with Ino and teasing her everyday.

"Well I got to go, see ya big bro and Ino."

Now there's two.

"Naruto..."

"Hm?"

I looked at her while we were walking. She was pulling her hand together, looking down with a flustered face.

"Are you really going to accept Sakura's invitation to prom? It must be hard to say an answer in front of everybody. I really thought you were going to reject her."
