"When friendship leaves us through death, we feel cheated in life. Life doesn't play fair, so I vow to win the game for us both." -Amy Hoover
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~WARNING: SUPER BORING AND SHORT CHAPTER.
The last place I thought I'd be going right now would be high school. When Void and I left Eichen he went over the rules once again. I'm not going to break them. Everything is on the line, I would be insane if I tried to. He told me that he's not going to take me through this step by step because he doesn't have the time. I'm supposed to do things on my own. Hurt people without being told. Do what I have to do, I guess. I asked him what his plan was and why he was on a time limit but of course he was very tight lipped. I didn't trust him at all. I didn't think that at the end of this -when he gets what he wants- he would leave all of us unharmed. But at least if I do this it'll give Scott time to come up with a plan before he can hurt anyone.
It was silent as we walked through the halls. No one was here besides the one person that the Nogitsune wanted to talk to. We made our way to his room and when we arrived it didn't take long for Void to walk through the door, "Coming in on a Saturday? That's dedication." I stopped at the door frame and watched him walk further into Mr. Yukimura's classroom. "Where is she hiding them?"
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about." Kira's dad said calmly. I smiled and let my head fall as I stared at the ground.
Void Stiles walked to a bookshelf and moved a few books around, "Her little knives." He pulled a book off of the shelf and my eyes followed it to the floor. "Daggers." He glanced over at Mr. Yukimura while pushing another book from the shelf. "I know what they are." He grabbed a book with a green cover and flipped through it. I looked up at the teacher who had his jaw clenched. Void continued flipping through the book, "physical representation of her tails... however the hell that works..."
I pushed off of the door frame and walked towards Void Stiles. I smirked at Mister Yukimura who furrowed his eyebrows only slightly. I put my hands on Void's shoulders and rested my chin on my hands as I stared at the book in his hand. "You look nervous, Yukimura... is he getting close?"
Void raised his eyebrows and looked at the teacher who was staring between us nervously. Void cocked his head and rounded his mouth to a small 'o' as if he was agreeing with me and we had just come to a conclusion that was bad for Kira's father. I turned away from Void and walked towards a desk running my pointer finger along the edge. He dropped the book he was looking at and started walking towards Ken.
"Maybe you'd like to do some reading on the daggers? I can direct you to the section on Japanese myths in the library." Mr. Yukimura nodded.
Void smirked and shook his head softly, "No... No, I'd like to talk to you." He bounced his fingers on each desk he walked past. "The older the tail, the stronger the Oni... Am I right? I know there's one left. I know it's the strongest."
