"You're the only friend I need. Sharing beds like little kids. And laughing til our ribs get tough. But that will never be enough." -Lorde
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~A/N: I messed up the timeline so all of the italics happened before the whole shower incident last chapter.
I looked around the locker room after the cops finally left me alone. I bounced between them being questioned and then examined and repeated. I wasn't even the one who was almost killed yet they won't leave me alone. I set my eyes on Scott finally and wasn't gonna let anyone stop me until I was standing beside him.
He glared at someone walking down the hallway so when I was beside him I followed his gaze to the girl who tried killing him and then to Parrish who had her in handcuffs. She looked back at his name tag before smirking, "Jordan Parrish?"
"Deputy Parrish." He corrected harshly. I frowned and instantly pulled out my phone. I searched for Lydia's contact and clicked on our messages, opening the picture she sent me of the new list. I read all of the names until my eyes rested on the last one.
Jordan Parrish 5
I narrowed my eyes at the name. There's no way after all of this time we didn't know. I would be able to smell if he was a werewolf. Scott and Derek would've been able to figure that out the second he stepped into the same room as them. We've all been in the same room as him multiple times. I jumped when someone touched my shoulder. The sheriff frowned but I just smiled, shakily putting my phone away. Noah works with him every single day. Every day. He could be in danger for all we know. God, why is that my first instinct? He doesn't have to be evil. I'm supernatural and I'm not evil.
"Sheriff, what is that? Is that the weapon?" Rafael asked. I looked up just now realizing that Scott's dad was also here.
"Yeah, it's a thermo-cut wire." Noah shrugged, holding the bag up.
Rafael stared at it intently before taking it and rushing after the criminal, "Parrish, hold up!"
The sheriff followed him and I watched them walk out of the room. Scott put his arm around my shoulders causing me to release some of the tension that was in my posture. I relaxed into his arm and he rubbed my arm with his hand. Liam walked up to us nervously, looking around as if he'd get yelled at for talking to us.
"Where's Kira?" Scott asked nonchalantly.
"She took off. You told her about Lydia cracking the second part of the Deadpool." Liam told us, motioning to me when he said 'you'.
Scott furrowed his eyebrows before a look of realization crossed his face. He took his arm off of me, running his hands over his face, "Her mom's on it."
"Everyone's on it." Liam said.
"You guys aren't." Scott reminded him.
"Not yet. There's still another third." I told him. Scott nodded before shutting us out. I realized he was listening in on the conversation in the other room so I decided to tune in as well.
