01:37 - Gotham City.
The weather was typical for mid-April, rain was drenching the streets, and overflowing the drains, thunder roared in the sky, and every so often lightning lit up the city. Down on the streets, the Batmobile skidded around a corner, travelling toward the cities branch of S.T.A.R Labs.
A silent alarm had sounded, going off just under five-minutes ago, so when Bruce arrived, he was pretty sure that however the intruder was, they were still here. Stepping out of the Batmobile with Black-Bat by his side. He took a quick look at the building, the interface in his cowl, highlighting all possible entrances and exits.
"Black-Bat, enter through the delivery entrance, make sure no one escapes." - He ordered, earning a nod from the girl.
Unclipping his grappling-gun from his utility belt, he fired a line, which soared up the fifteen story building and rapped around a pipe. Once he was sure it was secure, he soared into the air, and in three seconds had landed in the roof.
Kicking open the door that let people access the roof, the vigilante began descending the staircase that led to the fifteenth floor.
"Oracle." - He muttered into the comms. - "Do you have visual?"
There was a delay before she responded. - "Negative." - Barbara answered, finding it surprisingly hard to gain access to the lab's security system. - "Someone or some thing's keeping me locked out."
The thirty-seven year old didn't stop, it was unusual, but Oracle not being able to hack into a security system, didn't set off any alarms bells in his head. The intruders were possible using signal jamming technology, in hopes they didn't alert the police, unfortunately his tech was better than the police's.
"Black-Bat, check the security office, it should be on the eighth floor."
"Okay." - Cassandra answered quietly, while Bruce continued along to the head researchers office, where the silent alarm had first been activated.
Black-Bat ran like a wraith down the building's hallways, looking for the security office, while simultaneously, watching out for any intruders. It seemed however, that the place was empty. Maybe the silent alarm was mistake?
As she neared the security office, she ignored that thought. Spotting a shady looking figure messing with the main computer through the glass walls. Two passed out men, both wearing navy security outfits, lying in stained rolling chairs, one on either side of the person.
"One hostile. Eighth floor."
Crouching, Cassandra hastily sprinted towards the door, making as little noise as possible to not tip off the criminal. Unfortunately, as they had complete access to the security system, and as that included every camera in the building, he easily spotted her, and with one push of a button, the door to the office was locked.
The guy reached for the radio to his right, and relayed a quick message, before quickly pocketing the gadget, as well as a small, black Rubik's cube shaped device sitting on the desk.
The figure turned, revealing a fake blood stained, Halloween hockey mask, from one of Cassandra's favourite horror films, which they were using to conceal their identity.
The two stared at each other for a moment, before Cassandra drew her fist back, slamming it into the glass wall, which not strong enough to break it, did crack it considerately. The figure, knowing they didn't have much time, before the wall broke. He quickly dipped into a side door, while Cassandra delivered another strike to the glass, this time shattering it.
