Cresta Dorada, Guatemala - 13:22
Wally West, once the Teen Titan and sidekick known as Kid Flash, now the Flash, after taking up the mantle a few years back when Barry had semi-returned to spend more time with Iris and their kids, leant against a wooden fence in the small village of Cresta Dorado, with a bagel in one hand and his phone in the other.
Having been one of the Justice League members assigned a young vigilante—or vigilantes in his case—to talk to, he'd ran down from Keystone to the small village in the west of Flores, Guatemala to find them.
Scrolling through the file on his phone for what felt the fiftieth time to make sure he was in the right place, beginning to get bored at standing around and waiting. Patience was never a quality of a speedster.
Then he noticed something in the distance.
At first all he could see was a cloud of dust, which alarmingly was approaching him, then it close enough to see that there was something inside the storm.
Two parallel streaks of red and white light were inside, moving so quickly, that they were blurring together, which resembled sort of a candy-can or barber shop swirl pattern. They were speedsters like him, which was why he got the job.
The information Wally had been given on the two vigilantes were sparse, mostly taken from news reports and rumours found on the internet.
Mas y Menos, they were called. Brothers from Guatemala who'd been fighting against cartel tyranny over the past two years. From what he'd heard, they mainly just knocked the criminals out and tied them up, though sometimes they used their abilities in a more brutal fashion, such as sabotaging their enemies weapon's before they'd fired, maiming the men.
Batman had used the Watchtower to track Speed-Force trails across Mexico, creating a map where he then discovered common points of origin, leading him to mark this village as somewhere they often stopped at. Their hideout, he theorised.
Finishing off the rest of his bagel, Wally pocketed his phone and waited for the two men to arrive.
When they arrived, Wally had turned his head to avoid getting dust in his eyes and when it had cleared and he turned back, he was shocked at what he saw.
Mas y Menos weren't men, they were kids. Not much older than sixteen.
The two stood and stared at him, allowing him to take a better look at them.
They were identical twins, tanned skin, brown eyes and bright red hair, which while similarly styled, though pushed in opposite directions. They also dressed alike, with red and white sneakers—custom, as he knew how well normal shoes stood up to the friction and heat generated by super-speed—shin and knee guards over grey tracksuit-bottoms, coloured t-shirts, arm and hand protective gear and golden visors.
There were a few notable differences though, one wore a red t-shirt with white accents and a giant white plus-symbol on it, the other brother's shirt was pallet-swapped, with white being the primary colour and red accents and a red minus symbol instead.
What had also grabbed Wally's attention was the cuffs the two wore on opposite arms, a chain linking the two.
Clearing his throat, the hero stepped forward, nervous. - "Hola." - He greeted. - "Um... quer- No. Necesito, pregnant algunta..."
The two brothers laughed at his poor Spanish, before the one with the minus on his chest stepped forward.
"I speak English," - He told the flustered Flash. - "What do you want?"
