Landon Pharmaceuticals Outpost - 13:45.

The Landon Pharmaceuticals Somalia satellite office, was a large modern skyscraper, covered in reinforced black panels and tinted glass, and was located in the richer area of Mogadishu, the capital city of the west-African country.

The facility wasn't just a typical straight tower, it instead was four different cube and cuboid shaped building stacked upon each other, with three of the four roofs covered in advanced satellite receiver technology. The fourth roof- the tallest- was instead topped with a large helicopter pad.

Twenty floors below the helipad, down a hallway lined with security cameras, behind a ten-digit keypad locked door and guarded by a tall security guard armed with a Heckler & Koch MP7 Machine Pistol was Doctor Penelope Young's lab.

The Doctor was currently working on a report on her latest project, codenamed BAS-655, using notes she'd taken in her notebook. Paranoid that her research could be stolen, it was the only place she wrote any information she deemed sensitive the book never left her person. While this aggravated her superiors at LPL, they knew that she was too valuable an asset to lose over such a small issue.

As she was finishing up the 'Recommendations For Improvement' section of her report, the building's fire alarm went off.

Tucking the notebook into an inner pocket of her lab coat, the Doctor was getting ready to leave the lab and follow the evacuation protocol- when the building suddenly shifted into lockdown mode.

In lockdown mode, the windows were automatically covered by armour plating, and all power except for the emergency lights and door-locks, which would only accept the clearance codes of Landon Executives, Security and the Contamination Crew, so Doctor Young was effectively locked in her office.

Knowing that these lockdowns never lasted longer than four hours, she took a seat at her desk, hoping to just wait it out, when her lab door opened.

"Adar?" - She questioned, as her bodyguard entered.  - "What's wrong- Was there a chemical spill?"

"We have to leave." - He urged. - "Grab whatever you need. We leave know."

Trusting her friend of nearly ten-years judgement, she grabbed her handbag. - "What's happening?" - She begged, as the two exited her lab.

"Your identity has been compromised." - He admitted, leading her through the hallways and towards the nearest stairwell. - "People hunting you have invaded the building." - The Doctor gasped, but Adar wasn't finished. - "Don't worry, there's a helicopter waiting for you on the roof. The plan is to airlift you to a secure location, before escorting you out of the country."

"How many of them are there?"

"Four I believe. But they all have powers." - The chest-mounted radio cracked to life and Adar listened closely to the message that was being relayed. - "And apparently they just breached the tenth floor and are rising fast." - He mentioned as they entered into the stairwell.

With the lockdown having stopped all elevator travel, going up the nineteen flights of stairs was the only way they'd be able to reach the roof, which didn't bother Adar, with the six-foot-three bodyguard completing a mile jog every morning before work, whereas Doctor Young was feeling the strain after sprinting up the first five.

"C'mon, Penny. We don't have time to stop."

Taking hold of the safety-rail to keeping herself from falling, the Doctor begged for Adar to give her a moment.

Nearly thirty floors below, the a stairwell door was thrown open. Looking down the stairwell shaft, Doctor Young saw two bright white eyes staring back at her. A second later, a grapnel hook and accompanying cable appeared out of the darkness, flying up past the two Landon employees and digging into the cement ceiling of the stair shaft.
