"Okay. It's...high...really...really high..." James said looking up at the mountain.

Tal turned to Ares.

"Please tell me there's a shortcut." she whispered to him.

Ares turned to her with an awkward smile.

"I mean...there is...but...I think it's more dangerous than climbing the damn mountain. Especially with the mortal." he said pointing towards James.

Tal looked at him with a smirk.

"Firstly. When have you known me to stray away from danger. Secondly. Stop calling him mortal, his name is James. Thirdly. Lead the way." she commanded.

Ares looked at her hesitantly before nodding.

He started going towards the back of the mountain, where the people were scarily non existent.

It was colder there and Tal found herself shivering along with James.

Ares seemed slightly oblivious to the cold.

He knelt down to the ground.

Tal frowned and so did James as Ares drew a symbol on the snow.

It took on a lava like appearance and the snow started melting around it before it disappeared completely.

Only a circle was left behind.

"Step inside." Ares said.

Tal frowned more deeply at this but did as he asked.

James followed with an awkward smile.

"Is this to scare off the evil spirits?" James asked sarcastically.

Ares rolled his eyes.

"You're gonna be the fist one to fall on his face." he said, his voice filled with annoyance.

"Wha-" James's sentence was interrupted when Ares tapped his feet on the ground three times and a hole opened up where James stood.

Tal looked at Ares with raised eyebrows.

Ares smiled and offered her his hand.

"Shall we?" he asked with a mischievous expression.

She smirked and took his hand.

His smiled widened and he tapped his foot another three times.

They landed gracefully, while James was still dusting himself off.

"Asshole."he spat at Ares.

He just chuckled.

Tal quickly got to exploring.

It looked like a cave all around them.

" What is this place? "she wondered off, summoned by the symbols on the walls.

It's like there was a story in them, and her sense of wonder provided the perfect audience.

Her fingers traced them before a light shone behind her.

She quickly turned to look at it.

No one was there.

Not even the boys.

Where had they gone?

She looked around and went towards the light in hopes of finding them.

She heard a faint sound and turned to find its source, before she got pushed to the ground, roughly.

She looked up to see Ares.

"Ares, what the fuck?" she asked irritated and went to get up but he took out his sword and stuck it on her throat.
