She paced around, her mind wild with questions.

All those years...she thought...

When something pulled her in, a sort of portal, when she woke up in that strange place, with strange people, wearing strange clothes...

She always thought...Zeus..

Who else could it be?

Who else was so powerful?

Ares frowned as she paced around, having a dozen questions himself.

Tal sat down next to him, looking straight ahead.

Were there other gods?.Deities?

Perhaps all those religions people believed in...

No...it couldn't be true...not all of it at least..

This was too much to take in.

She panicked again.

She needed to leave. Get out.

All those years...everything she believed to be true...

She had almost made peace with it.

But now....

Her heart was racing, everything was faster, harder.

Usually she liked it, but now it was scary, painful.

A hand fell on hers and it all stopped.

She turned to look at Ares.

He had a worried look on his face.

"We'll figure it out. It's going to be okay." he said reassuringly.

She looked down at their intertwined hands.

She pulled away and got up.

He frowned.

"No. I'll figure it out. You can just take the boy and leave." she said determinedly.

He sighed at her stubborness.

"I can't. The boy is connected to you by the Fates. He's the weapon and you're its wielder." he said.

Her eyes widened.

"Don't talk about him like he's some damn object!" she said fury seeping from her mouth.

He frowned as she came to his defence.

Jealous thoughts filled his mind.

"Have you layed with him?" he asked approaching her with an angry glint in his eyes.

She narrowed her eyes at him.

"Careful. Don't want me to cut that tongue of yours." she said as she took out her blades.

He chuckled darkly, his eyes almost glowing red.

"Answer me." he demanded and she stepped back as he stepped forward and took hold of her wrist, raising them above her head -along with the blades- pinning her to the wall.

She glared at him.

She hadn't lost trust in her abilities to beat him, but her head was still buzzing from last night.

"I didn't." she said looking straight into his eyes.

The red in them softened but didn't fade away.

"Are you close with him? Has he touched you? Kissed you?" he glared deep into her eyes.

She rolled her eyes at him.
