As Hideo took off his shirt and ripped a part of it to serve as a makeshift gauze he paused for a second and an evil thought crept into his mind... he could just let Kyoya bleed out.
There was little chance Kyoya would make it either way, and this would clear the road for Hanae to be with him instead.
His mind went numb as he began to tuck back the piece of fabric in his back pocket but Kaoru Hitachiin's groans quickly shook those evil thoughts away, and Hideo could hardly believe he considered letting Kyoya die.
What kind of person would he be if he let a human being die?
"Hitachiin, wake up!" Hideo yelled, shaking the disheveled man, and Kaoru managed to sit up holding the back of his head as he looked around trying to make sense of everything that had just happened, and as he looked down at Hideo's bloody hands, he shook his head, his mind still not able to comprehend why Kyoya was bleeding.
He took a shallow breath as he stuttered out his friend's name.
"What happened to him?!" Kaoru yelled, shoving Hideo aside so he could reach Kyoya, and before he could stop himself the panic of the situation began to set in.
Hideo looked down at the sobbing man in front of him and his lips formed a tight line, "Listen, we can't waste time, he's bleeding out and our horses ran away. Do you have a phone?"
Kaoru took a sharp breath before he nodded, shakily reaching down to his pocket to give Hideo his phone.
Things happened quickly after that, Hideo called the only person he recognized on the phone aside from Hanae; Mary and a car came quickly to drive Kyoya and them back to the main house.
Hideo shut his eyes in anguish as he saw the woman he loved, crumble over her husband being carried into their living room with one foot in the grave.

After seeing Kyoya get dragged into the house with blood seeping down his neck and arm, Hanae wasn't sure what to think, the world seemed to start spinning as she rushed over to his limp body.
