Hi everyone! This is my first type of writing in Wattpad. I hope you like it!

RING! RING! RING!

Luz groaned under her blanket, pillows above her ears. She got up, turned the alarm off and changed into her school uniform, not even bothering to take a shower or do anything hygienic. Her breakfast, a soggy cereal, was sitting on the countertop with a note for Camila.

Sorry I couldn't make you a proper breakfast again mija. Te amo cariño!

Thanks Mamá, Luz thought sadly, but it won't help me even if you make a good breakfast for me.
She quickly gulped down the cereal and dragged herself to the bus pick-up point.

On the bus, she sat at the rear of the bus. As she walked through, she could hear the conversations going cold as she passed by, with whispering taking its place. No one sat down beside her. In fact, no one was within one row of her. Although she was used to it, she still felt really saddened by it. She distracted herself by burying her head into her Good Witch Azura book until the bus stopped.

She loved her fantasy books as much as she loved her mom, but unfortunately it was those very same books that made her very unpopular. She was bullied for believing in the stories, saying that she should 'grow up'. Of course, that didn't stop her from reading the books. When the bus stopped, she carefully put the book back in her bag and set out for another day at school.

Damn school.

After an 'eventful' day, the bell finally rang, setting the students free from the school's grasp for another day. As most of the students rushed towards the exit, Luz went into the bathroom to clean herself up. And boy did she need some cleaning up.

Her uniform was torn at her back, making shapes that vaguely resembled wings, as a result of some kids teasing her for her love of 'fairy stories' again. Although her face was untouched, her arms had some bruises because she got stuffed into a trash can and her locker. As she placed bandages on the wounds and bruises and covered them up, she gave herself a pep talk.
"Don't worry Luz," she said to herself, "everything will be alright.
"These bruises will fade, l-like they usually do. You don't need to worry Mami just because of some bullying," she said, her voice cracking on the word 'bullying'.
"Just act normal. Act like you haven't been beat up and bullied all day. She doesn't need to know that. She has a lot on her hands already. You don't need to burden her."

As much she wanted to cry, she suppressed her tears, practiced her smile, and walked home.
