"Watch out! Coming through!"
Peter was late.
He ran through the crowd, a backpack on his shoulders, his shirt on backwards, as if it had been put on in a hurry.

"I'm late again! I'll end up getting kicked out of class!"

The young man looks at his watch.

BLAM!

He falls to the ground, after having collided with another boy.
This last one had not moved.
He is thin but muscular, a little smaller than Peter, too.
The latter picks up his things, grumbling.
"How could this happen? My sixth sense didn't tell me anything..."he murmurs to himself.

"Sorry, did you say something?"

The boy looks at him, dumbfounded.

Peter shakes his hand.
"No, I was talking to myself. Sorry I bumped into you."

"No worries."
The stranger holds out his hand.
Peter takes it. A firm, powerful hand that effortlessly gets him to his feet.

"Where did you run like that?"

Peter points at his bag.
"In class. I'm always late."

The other man laughs.
"That I know! School and I are two of a kind!"

Peter smiles.
We certainly don't miss classes for the same reasons.

"My name is Peter. Peter Parker," said Peter, holding out his hand.

"And I'm Percy. Percy Jackson. And your shirt is on backwards."
They exchange a handshake.
Peter puts his shirt back on.

"And where were you going before I bumped into you, Percy?"

Percy shrugs.
"I don't know. I have no place to go. I just walk."

"Don't you go to school?"

Percy grimaces.
"Classes aren't for me. Besides, aren't you going to be late?"

"I already am. Why don't you come with me? Maybe you'd like the atmosphere."

Percy seems reluctant, but agrees, having nothing better to do.

As they walk, Peter notices that Percy keeps moving, reaching into his pocket for his watch.

"Are you okay? You keep moving."

Percy smiles.
"I'm hyperactive. I can't stand still."

"Oh. Now I understand why school's not for you."

Percy laughs.
"I'm a real problem for the teachers."

And Percy starts telling Peter stories, laughing.
Without seeing the time pass, they arrive in front of a majestic building.
Percy stops dead in his tracks.

"This is the place. Come on in, you have nothing else to do anyway."

"I have a bad feeling about this. There are monsters around here."

"What is it? Speak up, I don't understand what you're saying Percy."

Percy turns his attention back to Peter.
"Yeah, sorry. It's just funny being back in a school."

Peter smiles.
"Shall we go?"

Percy nods and they walk forward.

The corridors are huge.
Percy looks around on guard.
"Hey relax! It's just a school, not a prison!" Peter jokes.

"I wonder if I wouldn't prefer a prison..."

Peter pats Percy on the back.
"Don't give me that! You'll see it's not so bad!"
