Percy PoV

"So it's true. You are a murderer. And what are you looking for? The people looking for you don't look very convenient. Especially her."

"Don't meddle with what doesn't concern you. You might regret it."

I understood how he knew all this. I knew this would happen. That they would find me.

"I don't believe it."

I'm staying quiet.

"I don't think you are a murderer. I even think you are the victim in the story."

I still don't answer.

Spider-Man comes over and puts a hand on my shoulder.
"You're a good person at heart. I'm sure you're repressing the best part of yourself, for some reason. Hate or guilt maybe. You can trust me."

I don't know what to think. What if he's in cahoots with them? Why would he trust me all of a sudden?

"They seem to be upset with you. Enemies? Former friends?"

Strangely, there was no sarcasm in his voice. But that doesn't mean anything.

I push his hand away violently.
"You won't get me. You just happen to trust me all of a sudden?"

He thinks for a moment.
"Not really all of a sudden. The more we see each other, the more I find you strange. Not even you. I feel like your real personality is trying to take over."

I step back, turning my back on him.

"I won't hold you back. I'm sure if you would accept it, I could help you."

I let out a chuckle.
"Help me. Don't make me laugh. You are weak."

And I'm leaving.
Maybe I was a little mean. But I also know it would put him in more danger if he helped me.

Peter PoV

"Hey Percy!"

"Ah hi Peter!"

Percy walks towards me, and we enter the building together.

"So what's up?"

"Nothing much. Math is boring."

I frown.
"You don't have math!"

He laughs awkwardly. Was he hiding something?
"Oh yeah, that's right! By the way, why were you absent yesterday?"

I look to the side, looking for an excuse.
"Well, I wasn't feeling well. A little sick to my stomach and... oh who did this?!"

"What?"

Percy looks in the direction I point.
A picture with Spider-Man talking to...
"Waterman."

"What?"

"The person talking to Spider-Man. He's that new hero you remember?"

"Yes, but what did you call him?" He ask.

"Waterman why?" I answer.

Percy frowns and looks at me strangely.
"For no reason. I just didn't know he had a name. Uh, will you excuse me, I have to go to the toilets?"
And he disappears into the toilets.

Just then, my spider-sense gets agitated. A danger approaches.

I barely have time to turn around when a metal arm grabs my chest and throws me backwards violently, sending me through the wall.
The students start to run in all directions, the alarms are activated and the fire jets are activated.
Panic on board!
