"Who are you?"
Percy was addressing a person hanging on a wall, in a blue and red suit.

"Don't you know me? Who are you?"

"I asked you first."

"Spider-Man. Who are you?"

Percy frowns under his glasses.
He doesn't have a superhero name. In fact he didn't plan to have to introduce himself.

"I don't have an answer."

"Can I ask what you're playing?"

"Well, I hunt monsters."

"Yes, I can see that."
Spider-Man points to a pile of destroyed robot monsters.

Spider-Man does a pirouette and lands in front of Percy.
"I'm talking about your costume. A cap, mask and glasses? It doesn't look serious."

Percy starts to back away, having something else to do.
"I don't care. I'm not doing this for the glory. I have my own reasons."

Shlaf

"Let go of me."
Percy turns around, his hand caught in some webbing.

"We're not done talking."

"I told you to let go of me."
Percy brings his sword down, slicing through the web with ease.

Spider-Man steps forward.
"I'd rather warn you. If your reasons put anyone in danger, I'll take care of you. If helping people isn't your motivation, then there's no guarantee that you won't be dangerous."

Percy stares at him for a moment before answering.
"If my motivation is to do things that go against you, I don't care. Get in my way and you'll regret it."

"Is that a threat?"

Percy turns around, reeling in his sword.
"It's a warning. I'm not your enemy. So don't think of me as one, or this will end badly."

With that, Percy conjures up water that will create a wave on which he stands.
And it takes him through the streets, ignoring the laws of physics.

Spider-Man can't believe it.
"Who is this guy? Can he surf a wave himself?!"

He sighs.
"First a sand guy, now a water guy. What's next, the whole beach?"

He takes one last look at the pile of mechanical monsters.
This new, unnamed individual had defeated them all by himself, and in a very short time. He is strong.

Having no more reason to stay on the spot, the New York hero leaves, swinging from building to building, at the end of his web.

"Hey Peter! What's up with you? You're getting a faceful of it!"
Percy stops his skateboard at Peter's level.

The latter is startled.
"Oh, sorry. I was in my thoughts."

"I saw that. What's bothering you?"

"Nothing. Should we go ?"

They were in front of the school. Percy nods and they go into the big building.

"Hey, did you hear about the new hero? Apparently he took the wind out of Spider-man's sails!"

"Yes, I heard about it! He doesn't have a costume, just glasses and a cap."

Percy and Peter turn in one motion to the discussion.
Percy approaches the girls.
"Excuse me, but who are you talking about?"

They look at him, then answer with big smiles.
"A new hero, stronger and cuter than Spider-man."

Peter remains silent.
