your pov:

the beach. i like the beach. sun, sand, waves and ocean. the cries of seagulls and salty smell.

pete, colson, megan, casie and i were going to go for the day. we got everything packed up in the car. sand shovels and buckets, towels, a cooler of food and drinks, sunscreen, beach chairs and an umbrella.

except, i was insecure as fuck. pete and i were new, so i hadn't show off my body much to him. megan and colson were a bit different, sure i was insecure a bit about them but with pete i had something to prove. or at least it felt that way. in reality i knew he wouldn't judge me but i couldn't help being nervous.

we drove down and unpacked, setting up in a secluded area away from all the people.

colson and pete set up the umbrella and chairs while megan and i laid out our towels.

she applied sunscreen and then laid down to sit in the sun for a bit.

"(y/n)! come in the water with me!" casie called as she stripped to her bathing suit.

"alright, gimme a second!" i called back, "pete come in with us, give these love birds some time alone"

"shut up" megan laughed.

suddenly, i realized the moment i was dreading was here. i knew there was no getting around it. i took a deep breath and stripped my shirt.

i felt pete's eyes on me, and i looked at him.

"damn... nice rack" he blurted suddenly.

colson looked at him with a smirk, megan giggled and i turned bright red.

"uh, thank you pete" i said awkwardly.

he was blushing a bit too, "i'm sorry i meant you look really pretty and-"

"no don't worry, it's fine" i laughed, pressing a kiss to his cheek.

i took off my shorts and took his hand.

"let's go swim with casie, c'mon"

"slow down babe! i gotta take my shirt off!" he laughed.

he then chuckled nervously, and pulled it off.

"i like your tattoos" i told him, "can we go now?"

"yes. i'm glad you like them, i was worried you wouldn't" he chuckled.

"i was worried you wouldn't like my body too" i laughed as well.

"but your body is beautiful, and i wouldn't ever wanna make you think it isn't"

"and i feel the same way about that for you"
