15) the raft

This was requested ages ago! Apologise I've only just written it @lilakatelyn
Instead of a raft breakout I'm changing it to fit my writing style <3

this is a part two of: Bis wir uns wieder treffen

"Normally we wouldn't make this exception however you helped capture him" I hung my head,I regretted handing him over to the dora milaje since that very day, he deserved it, but I missed him.

Okoye led me through the raft chambers till we reached his
"If he tries anything I will return" I nodded and thanked her again "his cell is the last one on the left"

I walked over, a million thoughts in my head, Millions of scenarios, did he even want to see me, what if he didn't and he felt betrayed but now I was here, face to face with him
"hi" he put his book down and looked at me
"hi"
"Happy to see me" he didn't respond "Um Can I come in?" I awkwardly ask
"If you'd like"
Even though I was granted permission to go into the cell it felt weird
"So what've you been up to?"
"Hmm let me see y/n not much I've just been sitting in this cell for a month how about you?"
"Zemo"
"Why are you here"
"Too see you, I missed yo-"
"If you had missed me, you wouldn't have waited a month to visit me"
"I'm sorry but things came up"
"I'm sure" I knew he'd react this way
"listen don't pin the blame your actions on me, your the reason your here"
"I remember the situation differently, I remember you handing me over to the dora Milaje"
"Because you betrayed me"
"And you betrayed me" he whispered cooly
Silence.
It shouldn't have been like this, I just wanted to give him a hug, reassure him
"It shouldn't have been like this, you had a choice"
"You took that choice away from me when you handed me over" my eyes began to water slightly but I clenched my fists
"I can't believe you'd say that"
Silence.

It had been 10 minutes of no speaking, neither of us knew what to say
"I think I'm gonna go" I say standing up, he takes my hand
"please don't" I look back at him confused "please stay"
