Y/N Father: Mac Miller
Y/N Age: 12
Ariana POV:
I was so excited.
As of this morning, Dalton and I are expecting a baby! I've always wanted to have a child with him, and I really wanted to give Y/N someone to play with. She has always been by herself and even though it's not bad, I just want her to have someone other than Dalton to hangout with when I'm on tour.
"Yayyyyy I'm so happy babe!" My husband cheered, hugging me close.
"Me too! Oh we should go celebrate with Y/N, she would want to know." I said, kissing his cheek before calling my daughter downstairs.
She appeared around the corner and skipped down the stairs, stumbling into my arms after tripping on the last one.
"Careful baby, what have I told you?" I scolded, squinting at her.
"Sorry momma, I won't do it again. Hi Dalton!" She yelled, running full force at him.
"Hey kiddo!" He said, hugging her smaller body.
I smiled at their moment but caught Daltons eyes, silently telling him that we need to break the news to her. He nodded and picked her up easily, as she was small, placing her on the counter.
"Y/N, we have something to tell you." He said, pushing her glasses up on her nose.
"What is it?" She asked excitedly, glancing between our faces.
I looked at Dalton warmly and turned back to her.
"We're having a baby!" We yelled simultaneously.
I was smiling brightly while Dalton was jumping up and down in a funny manner. But what confused me is that Y/Ns happy expression turned blank, then almost sad. I furrowed my eyebrows and placed my hand on her shoulder in a comforting way.
"You gonna say something?" My husband asked, leaning down to look at her face.
She stared at the floor, her eyes dull and emotionless. I shook her slightly and what she did next shocked me.
She pushed me away harshly and ran up the stairs, the sound of her door slamming shut heard after she reached the top. I slowly turned to Dalton, my mouth hanging open.
"What just happened?" I asked, looking at him with wide eyes.
"I don't know." He replied, staring at the top of the stairs, "Maybe you should talk to her, she is YOUR daughter."
"Wow, what a way to be lazy." I mumbled before heading up the stairs to her room.
I reached her door and turned the handle just to find it locked.
"Baby? It's mommy, I just wanna check on you." I called, tapping my nails on the door.
No response.
"Y/N, please open the door. I want to talk."
I waited until I heard her move and unlock the door. I pushed it open to see her crawling back into her bed and burying her face into her pillow. I shuffled over and sat beside her immobile body, resting my hand on her back.
"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked, rubbing her spine.
"Nothing." She mumbled.
I sighed and pulled her upright and into my arms, kissing her head. She relaxed in my grip and rested her head on my shoulder, meeting my eyes.
"Y/N, say something." I said, kissing her cheek.
She shrugged and avoided my stern gaze.
"Please baby, don't push me away." I pleaded, tears welling up in my eyes.
She immediately sat up and hugged me tightly, her smaller arms wrapping around my neck.
"I'm sorry mama, don't cry." Y/N said, kissing my own cheek.
"I won't, but please tell me what's wrong."
She slumped her shoulders and avoided my eyes again.
"You'll disown me."
"What? Bubbbas I have never and will never disown you. Why would you think that?" I asked, cupping her cheeks.
"I....I just don't want a sibling....."
I let out a breath of relief, letting my tense shoulders drop.
"Oh Y/N, I thought something was actually wrong."
She looked at me like I was crazy.
"You- you aren't mad?"
I smiled warmly and kissed her small nose, pushing her glasses back up.
"Never, that isn't something to be mad at. It's actually kinda stupid."
Y/N blushed in embarrassment and shoved her face into my neck.
"I know it's weird, I understand. But I'm sure you will love them when they arrive, right?" I said, giving her 'the look.' (A/N if u have strict parents you know what that is.)
She nodded and looked at the floor sadly.
"Don't be sad bubbas, there is no need."
"But there is! What happens when that baby is born? You are going to forget about me and pay attention to them more and more. You're gonna call them 'bubbas' and 'junebug' and just forget me. I don't wanna be forgotten....."
"Aw baby, I won't ever forget you. And I promise those nicknames are yours and yours only." I said, kissing her head tenderly.
"Promise?" She asked, holding up her pinkie.
"I promise." I replied linking our fingers.
"Swear on it."
"I swear I will never forg-"
"No, swear on IT." Y/N stated, locking eyes with me.
I nodded slowly, remembering our code from ten years ago.
"I swear on dad I will." I whispered, leaning my forehead on hers.
She smiled and went back to cuddling my body with her smaller one. I wrapped my arms around her tightly and leaned back with her in my arms. We laid in silence and I soon came to notice that she had fallen asleep on me...,
With her hand on my stomach.
They are going to be best friends.
Eeeeeeee
I love it.
No part 2 tho cause Y/N is queen and deserves to be an only child.
