The Kinetrix Running Book 2: Heroes United

It's close to ten years since the Sabrax invaded.

People still talk about the mysterious blue blur they saw and how it single handedly stopped the invasion and saved the Earth but at the cost of his own life.

The people of the world mourn the death of their hero who fought with everything he had to protect them but little did they know their still lives hidden away somewhere in the world.

In the city of Ember Falls Alex, a pizza delivery boy drived a pizza scutter rushed to deliver a pizza.

"Oh no, I'm not going to make it" said Alex looking at his watch and saw that he was running late.

"If I deliver this pizza late Mr Jones will kill me" Alex said to himself.

Alex then took a deep breath, closed his eyes and channeled a little bit of Kinetic energy through his body and into the scutter.

He then drove the scutter at super Sonic speed and reach the home he was supposed to deliver the pizza to.

He then rang the door bell and a few moments later a guy opened the door.

"Here is the pizza you order from Jones' tasty pizza shack" said Alex as he handed the guy the pizza.

The guy gave him the money and took the pizza.

"What, no tip" said Alex a bit disappointed.

The guy then went back inside with the pizza.

Alex just sighed before he went to his scutter and left.

Later at night after Alex was done delivering pizzas for the day on his way to his apartment he passed by and alley way where he saw a couple of muggers beating up a kid.

He wanted to help but then he remembered the Sabraxian invasion and Daniella's death.

He then froze up as those painful memories came back to haunt him.

Red and blue lights began to flash, companied by the sounds of sirens.

The muggers then ran away upon hearing the police sirens.

Soon the police came to help the kid but he had already been beaten up severely by the muggers.

Alex, despite having the power to do something to help choose to do nothing and just walked away once the police arrived.

Alex made his way back home to his small apartment.

He went to his computer and read an article in the internet about and amazing artist in Hilltop name Alanna Manson.

He smiled as pleasant memories between him and Alanna came flooding back to him.

After reading the article that praised Alanna for her amazing art works Alex went to bed.

Alex looked the picture frame of Daniella by the side of the bed and signed.

He missed her and his old life a lot and wished he could have it all back but sadly it seemed like such a wish would never come true.

Alex slowly closed his eyes and drifted away, sleep peacefully but little did he know that something big was something, something far bigger than him, something that would force him to be the hero again but this time he wouldn't be the only hero
