Scene 12 | | A sick awakening,

When they realize it really is one hellish arena.

The trios ears perked up at the sound of streaming water. They had walked for a while longer, and found nothing. Not till now at least.  At first, Jenesis just gave her head a small shake as she and her allies moved through the grass carefully. I'm going crazy, she thought to herself half surprised. For some reason, the trio wasn't as weak as they were from before, since  they made an idea to suck on their jerky. I other words, let it become soggy so it can give them some type of moisture. It did, and it did work like they expected, but I wasn't the same as water. Natural, cold water. Jenesis had been keeping the memory of cold water in her mind, to manipulate her brain to thinking she is actually consuming it. She guesses it worked so well, that now shebis actually hearing the sound of a stream.

Has to be a dream. She thought to herself dismissively. Amusement tickling in her mind as she rolled her eyes at herself.

It wasn't until the steps of the trio had decreased, and Jenesis was quick to grip her spear an turn around. Expecting a arrow or spear in one of her allies, a surprise attack from The Careers. It wasn't either of them. Treyvon had stopped walking and now stood dazed yet attentive.

" Do," he started almost hesitantly. " Do you guys hear that, or am I?....". His eyes wide.

Jenesis almost gasped as she understood Treyvon's words, Imani's eyes widening  visibly. He hears it! She cheered In her mind as the group stood frozen for a moment. I wasn't hallucinating! She thought proudly. The group broke into a jog quickly, a  stealthy and fast jog . Heading right to where the water source sound was coming from, they were quiet but their excitement was loud.

" Thank Panem," Jenesis breathed out while jogging.

Their feet smacked against the forest ground, as quiet as they can make them at their pace. Even though they were in The Hunger Games and were really trying to be stealthy/ quiet tributes, they couldn't contain the relief and excitement they felt. Jenesis could already imagine herself taking gulps out of the water, the stream was truly music to her ears. The streams sound had healed her muscles, because Jenesis's brain had turned a blind eye to all her aching and swollen bones.

A relived smile graced her lips as she saw a blue and gorgeous looking lake come into view. Treyvon looked at her with a wonky smile that seemed to scream, I told you so. Even though he didn't predict anything. The water was sparky and bright colored blue, but Jenesis turned a blind eye to its beauty. But what she didn't turn a blind eye to, was the figure leaning down to the water. Gulping it up with their mouths deep in it. The alliance stopped immediately as they froze for a moment. It was like horses when they halt after running at top speed. She swore Treyvon had almost lost balance in general from their decrease of speed. Their excitement quickly morphed to horror.
