Soleil's POV
One week later

"Why do you have that big suitcase if you're only going to Alana's?" My dad asks me once I come down the stairs.

I roll my eyes not in the mood for all of his questions. I had a flight to catch and if he kept holding me up I'd miss it.

"It's not even that bag." I say.

It wasn't that big either. It was a small hello kitty suitcase my grandma gave me for my 5th birthday. I would've had a new one by now if my dad actually took us on vacations.

My dad doesn't say anything and I sit on the couch next to him. I was taking an Uber to the airport and it was supposed to be here in 5 minutes.

"So what do you girls plan on doing while you're over there?" My dad asks.

"You know our hair, our nails girly things." I say trying not to sound suspicious.

"Sounds fun." My dad says and I nod.

"You're all set with money and everything right?" He asks and I stop and think.

"I could use $30." I say and my dad sighs.

"Go get my wallet and take 30 out." He says.

I go to this room and see Lisa sleeping on the bed peacefully. I fake gag and grab his wallet pulling out $30 and stuffing it into my bra.

"Thanks dad." I say and my phone dings letting me know my Uber is outside.

"Welp I gotta go." I say quickly.

"You're not going to give your dad a hug or a kiss?" My dad asks.

I go over and give him a hug and a kiss.

"I love you Lei." He says.

"I love you too." I say before walking out of the door.

I get into the Uber and sigh in relief. I couldn't believe I was actually doing this.

Toni's POV

I was on the way to my studio session when I heard my phone ding. I looked at my lap and saw a notification from my calendar app.

Soleil's baby shower.

I sigh 15 years ago I had my baby shower. I still have some of the decorations from it the others I left in the box for Lei to look at. I miss her so much not a day goes by where I don't think about her. A tear slips down my cheek and I wipe it quickly and go back to focusing on driving.

My studio session was with my friend Kenny aka Babyface. We've been friends ever since I got started in the music industry he's like my big brother. I pull up to his house and ring his doorbell and his daughter Peyton answers it.

"Hey TT." She says and I smile.

"Hey baby is your dad in the studio?" I ask walking into the house.

"Yup he's waiting for you." Peyton tells me.

"Peyton who is that?" I hear Nicole ask as she walks into the room. "Oh hello Toni."

"Hello Nicole." I say giving her the exact same energy she gave me.

Nicole never was too fond of me for some reason. I don't know probably because she thinks I'm fucking her husband. If she's that insecure though I think she needs to get a grip on her marriage.

I walk to the back of the house where Kenny's studio was located and knock on the door.

"Come in." I hear him say.
