Toni's POV

Soleil's been with me for a couple of days now and I couldn't be more happier. In the little time we've known each other we've gotten so close. Growing up my mother and I didn't have a close relationship but I'm glad me and Soleil can have what I didn't.

"So what do you want to do today?" I ask going into her room.

She starts school next week so I want to do a lot of fun activities with her while she has some of her summer left.

"Actually Tamar is taking me out today." Soleil tells me.

"Oh.."

"Yeah Peyton told me she's going out with her mom today so I knew Kenny would be home alone which means you can go over there." Soleil says.

It takes me a minute to process what she is saying.

"You're sick that man is married." I tell her.

"Unhappily married." She mutters.

I glare at her and she throws her hands up.

"It's obvious you like him Mommy." Soleil says. "So go over there and keep your man company."

"First off even if I did like him which I don't he's married I can't do anything and he's not my man." I say.

Soleil fake yawns and I purse my lips.

"Whatever you say mommy." She says going to her closet.

I sigh and think for a second. Kenny and I were best friends. It wouldn't be wrong for me to go over there and keep him company as a friend right?

I was in my room getting ready when Soleil popped into my room.

"Getting ready for Kenny I see." She says smirking and I cover myself up with the robe.

"Next time you knock." I say.

"We all girls." Soleil says. "I just wanted to say Tamar is outside so I'm going to go have fun with your "friend." Soleil says to me before leaving my room.

"He is my friend!" I yell behind her.

"Maybe you will convince hope because you're not convincing me!" Soleil yells from the bottom of the stairs.

I roll my eyes before continuing to get ready.

I get to Kenny's house half an hour later.

"What are you doing here?" Kenny asks as he welcomes me into the house.

"Am I not allowed to see one of my best friends?" I ask.

"Well no." Kenny says and I laugh.

"Peyton told Soleil she was going to be out with Nicole all day so I wanted to keep you company." I say.

"Well thanks for being so thoughtful." Kenny says.

"Yeah yeah no need to thank me." I say.

We ended up playing a game of uno and of course he won.

"Whatever this game is misogynistic anyway." I say.

"Oh please you're a sore loser." Kenny tells me as he does this stupid little dance.

"No I'm not." I say crossing my arms.

"Alright alright rematch." Kenny says walking towards me.

"No I don't even wanna play anymore." I say sitting on the couch.

"Come on Tone don't be like that." Kenny tells me.

"Face leave me alone." I snap and he starts to laugh.
