Then the line went dead.
Taehyung panicked as he stared at his phone. He felt his heart rushing and pounding against his chest.
He went to go throw his phone but as he held it in mid air, he just squeezed it and put his hand down.
The man took a few deep breaths in order to calm down and felt a buzz in his hand. He brought his phone back up to view and read the text he had received.
Mom:
Your mother will be at Choi Woosik's house. The address is attached. Bring Jungkook with you. Nobody else.
Taehyung stared at the text then looked out the window. It started to rain. Of course it did. He chewed on the inside of his cheek as he made a decision. He quickly dialed Jimin's number.
"Hey, Tae. What's up?"
"I need you to please go to my apartment and take the kids somewhere far away and safe please. Now."
"..."
"Taehyung, what's wrong?"
"It's too much to tell you right now. But I need you to protect my kids. Jiyoon is back. Please be careful. I don't know what is happening but.."
There was a long delay.
"Jimin."
"Okay. I'll leave work right now. Don't worry, Taehyung. I'll find somewhere safe for them."
Taehyung rubbed his forehead and nodded. "Thank you, Jimin."
The call ended and Taehyung immediately called Jungkook afterwards, explaining to him the situation while grabbing his keys and jacket and leaving his office in a hurry.
"Taehyung. Okay, I'll be there. Please don't do anything reckless without me, baby." Jungkook said "I'll call you when I get there. Please pick up the phone." He told him before the call ended and clicked his tongue.
He started to feel extremely overwhelmed over what his ex wife and ex bestfriend is doing. Why are they doing this to them?
He chewed on his bottom and tried to stay calm and logical about this. There has to be something they want. As long as his children and Taehyung was safe, that was all that mattered to him.
He left his own workplace and went for his car in the underground garage. Walking up to the black car, he paused in his footsteps. The garage felt off and he kept getting a sense that he shouldn't go any closer to his car.
He then took a few steps back when he saw a shadow move in the seat. Fuck, he was right to trust his instincts. Jungkook immediately turned around on his heels and started to walk to the exit when there was someone behind him with a knife immediately to his throat.
"To the car." The stranger said with a low voice. Jungkook gulped and held his hands out. They both walked to the car still with the knife pressed against him.
"Get in the car." The man told him and Jungkook nodded, unlocking the car and getting into the driver seat slowly. There was another man in the back seat who slowly got into the front passenger seat. The man who was holding a knife at him also got into the back seat behind Jungkook with the knife still pressed into his side.
"Drive to your apartment. Now." The other man said, pointing the end of a gun at him now.
Jungkook clicked his tongue and had no choice but to listen to the men threatening him. He chewed on his bottom lip and began his drive to the apartment.
Taehyung sat in traffic for a long time until he had finally close to a manor. He could see the home even from down the street.
He parked the car and turned it off, the heavy rain being the only sound he can hear now. He pulled out his phone and dialed Jungkook's phone number.
Ring
Ring..
Ring...
Rin-
"Jungkook! I arrived. How far away are you?"
He heard Jungkook clear his throat after a long pause. "I'm almost there, Taehyung. Do not go inside without me. Do not go inside with me, ok?" Jungkook had said to him and Taehyung nodded.
"Please hurry." Is all he was able to say before the call ended by supposedly Jungkook. He tapped his hands on the steering wheel and his leg shook up and down anxiously.
He could see heavily armed guards walking around the entrance of this place. Just what kind of business does the Chois deal in?
He didn't know nor did he care. All he wants is for this to be over with.
He quickly texted Jimin.
"Beomsoo! Can you answer the door?"
"Get your lazy fat ass up and do it!"
Bora groaned. "I'm in the bathroom, you freaking idiot!" She called back and Beomsoo matched her annoying voice.
"I'm in the bathroom, you freaking idiot!" He mocked her as he paused his game and stood up. He walked over to the door and looked into the peephole first.
"Ah! It's Uncle Jimin!" Beomsoo called out to let Bora know and opened the door for him.
Jimin smiled when the door opened and walked inside, taking his shoes off.
"What brings you here, uncle?" Beomsoo asked as he closed the door behind him. "Taehyung and Jungkook planned a vacation. It was all impromptu. Your father got a raise and Taehyung deems it time to celebrate." He made it up as he went. "They told me to come take you there. You can call your dad or Taehyung if you need confirmation." Jimin said.
Beomsoo looked at Jimin with a raised brow and nodded. He watched as Jimin went down the hall to go get Nara and pulled out his phone to call his dad. It didn't go through so he called Taehyung instead.
When he asked about the vacation, Taehyung went along with Jimin's plan.
"Wow, Disneyland? Really?! Wow, wow, wow." Beomsoo said over and over again. "Yeah, yeah! Definitely. I'll make sure to pack!" He said and the call ended there.
After Jimin finished packing everything, he brought their suitcases to the door.
"Is everyone ready to go?" He asked and got a nod from everyone. "Bora, can you get Nara now? I put her in her carrier." He hummed and went to pick up the suitcases when he heard a ding! from the doorbell.
He looked at the door and blinked.
...
He slowly went up to the door and looked into the peephole. He blinked some more when he saw it was Jungkook. Why didn't he just use his key? Well, whatever.
He opened the door with a smile.
"Hey, we were just about to leave-"
His smile dropped when he saw a man behind Jungkook with a gun pointed to his head.
"Inside, now." The man said and pushed Jungkook inside and closing the door behind him.
