"I'm sorry, Honey. Y'know I can't stand seein' the look on yer face, but I gotta go." Pushing your lip out, it wobbled a little. "Baby, it fuckin' kills me when ya look at me like that."
"I don't care. Maybe you should have thought about that before bringing back trouble, again! I can't put JoJo through court proceedings again after I divorced her father-!"
"It won't go to court. I'm gonna go out 'n' find them myself-!"
"Last time that was said to me he went from solving an 'inheritance dispute' to chasing some serial killer creep round a tiny village!"
He stalked you, trying to stop you from leaving his sight as you cried nonsense at him about that stupid doctor or whatever he was.
"Darlin'! Honeybunch! Baby, c'mon!"
"Go away! Just go!!"
"Sweetieee! Come back!" he wailed, whimpering when you slammed the bathroom door in his face and locked it. Rattling the handle, it wouldn't budge.
"Awww, c'mon! Let's talk!" he called, pressing his forehead against the door.
"I'm done talking to you, Goro Majima!" you cried, throat filling up. Tears flooded, your head in your hands. "Just go-!"
"Don't cry... I have to sort this out myself. The cops'll just arrest me if I don't."

Sighing, he wandered out onto the front porch to find his step daughter curled up to get away from the noise.
"Aww, JoJo. I'm sorry ya had to hear that."
"That's okay, Daddy," she mumbled behind a false smile. "You're just trying your hardest for us."
Sitting beside her, he placed a cigarette between his lips and lit it before taking a long, hard drag.
"JoJo," he addressed, wrapping his arm around her. "I'm gonna be outta Tokyo for a few days. You'll look after yer Mom, won't'cha, huh?"
"Of course I will," she beamed. It only lasted a few seconds however, and Goro noticed.
"Whassup, kid? Ya got yer Momma's face on tonight."
"I... Don't know if I should tell you."
"Ya can tell me anythin', gal. It about yer Daddy?"
"My Dad... My real Dad... He filed for divorce around this time of the year."
"Hm? I know."
"I think Mom misses him... She still loves him."
"Y'know... I reckon so too."
She shuffled, sitting up a little on the swaying porch seat.
"Have you ever met my Dad?"
"Naw. But I seen pictures. Handsome guy, ya got lucky with that face."
"Hmph," she grunted. "Not sure about that."
"I never knew my Dad," he admitted. "Never knew my Mom, either. I was swept up in gang life from bein' young."
"I'm sorry," she mumbled.
"Ain't'cher fault. Yer the reason I wanna be the best man I can be to you and yer Mom. 'Cause I never had that. And yer special."
"I don't think my dad really knew his dad either, y'know..." Face dropping, Jolyne tried to keep tears in, but failed miserably. "Why doesn't he want me?"
"Hey, hey, hey," Majima soothed. "Jolyne."
He was firm in his tone as he scooped her up in his arms. She was only a little thing for 19 years old. Looking up at him with watery eyes, Majima bent down a little to be at her level when speaking to her.
"It ain't your fault. Sounds like Mom and Dad got some beef 'n' you were caught up in the middle. If he don't want'cha that's his loss."
Majima shrugged, indifferent when talking about Jotaro.
"I want'cha. Yer my girls, you and yer Mom. I know I ain't much, but I'll be everythin' ya need. I promise. I'm gonna take care of you and Momma, 'kay? Don't you forget it."
Sighing, he brushed himself off, preparing to leave when the young girl piped up.
"Where are you going?"
"Somewhere called Sotenbori," he admitted.
"I used to work there as a club manager a long time ago." Standing up, he brushed himself down, flicking his cigarette out into the street.
"Which reminds me. I gotta go." Bending over to kiss her head, it filled her with a warm fuzzy feeling.
"I'll seeya in a couple days. I promise... Tell Mom I'll call her when I get there, won't'cha?"
"Sure."
"Yer a good girl. Love ya, Baby."
Waving him off, Jolyne prayed that you calmed down. Majima was such a find, he cared about her and treated her as if she was his own.

She couldn't go through her parents splitting up again.
