The young woman pulled herself away from the wall and started to make her way downstairs.
"Y/N." Donna called after her and followed her down the steps, "It's most likely nothing."
Y/N ignored Donna's words and continued on her way to the door.
The banging hadn't stopped and things seemed only to worsen.
Various metal objects floated around in the air, a few sharp ones were wedged in the wall.
"Y/N! Are you in here?!" Karl shouted frantically.
Y/N opened the door, "Why are you yelling so loud?"
He pulled her into a tight hug and started stroking her hair, "I missed you, darlin'."
She slowly rose her arms and enjoyed the warm hug, "Me too," she whispered.
He smelled of smoke and oil. The smell seemed to always follow him even when he was miles away from the factory. From the quick glimpse she got of him when she opened the door, she could tell that he hadn't been getting much sleep.
Dark bags weighed down his eyes.
She wondered if he was even taking care of himself properly while she was gone.
The young woman gently pulled away from the hug and rested her hands on his cheeks, "What took you so long?"
He grinned and covered her hand with his own, "I was working on something special for you, blossom."
The smile faded from his face when he looked at something behind her.
A fire sparked in his eyes and he moved Y/N to the side, "You!" he pointed an accusatory finger at the dollmaker, "You've been messing with my head with your f*cking flowers."
"No, she hasn't!" Angie yelled. "You're just stupid!"
He gritted his teeth, "Shut up."
"You look like you haven't slept in days," her shrill voice filled the room, "Donna doesn't need to do anything to make you see things."
Karl clenched his fist and stepped closer to the doll, "I'm going to turn you into firewood!"
Y/N halted Karl's movements and looked between the two siblings, "Can one of you telling me what's going on?"
"She's crazy, psychotic, and delusion," he listed angrily as he stared at the dollmaker, "I came over here today, and she showed me this hallucination of you. Telling me how good she was for you and how much you liked it here."
She shifted her attention to Donna, silently asking her if that was true.
"I didn't want you to leave," she murmured. "You'd never come back."
