An unlikely saviour

Fate or willingness (rewritten)

We all know it, I don't own Azur lane nor the characters but I do own this story and ideas.

"Please Please do not do this, you can still come out. DON'T LEAVE ME TOO."

I heard my wife cry over the comms.

"You know that you will also die when I shut down the shields so no," I say over the comms.

"Please Uni live your life and don't get angry at me, goodbye."

I could only hear my wife screaming in response.

This ceased as the countdown on the wall reached zero.

"Goodbye." Was the last message I could deliver as the fire of the explosions hit me?

On the other side of the line, only desperate screaming could be heard but that soon silenced into radio noises.

A bright day, a clear sky, a waveless sea. 

A traitorous sign of peace. 

This ocean has seen many battles and many deaths. 

Yet the sea remained peaceful for it always returned to this state. 

This sea has seen the beginning of the siren war, the day beings from outer space pushed humanity out of the sea, by sinking every last floating vessel in existence, and so brought humanity near extinction through destruction and many unsuccessful reclaiming attempts. The bombardments and screams echoed through every part of this sea for weeks and months without end. 

Yet after many times passed, humanity did get a chance of payback by pure accident and reclaimed part of their planet back by giving sunken ships the ability to be like them and fight back. 

These beings who always manifested as girls, who were since their creation dubbed shipgirls, inherited the abilities and memories of their formerly sunken bodies and pushed back against the siren armada. 

This formed Azur lane and brought some peace back to the world. 

They won many times and the world has mostly recovered on the land while the war on the seas still rages on. 

But as history has shown, peace is something that only lasts for a time, and soon Azur lane broke apart and the crimson axis formed about the idea of using or abandoning siren tech. This group posed the next threat for Azur lane by allying themselves with the sirens to a specific degree. 

That all seems like a made-up story but these two groups, who try to destroy a third, yet one is allying themself while still fighting against them. 

And amongst all, the sirens, through all simulations they ran and have seen, already knew they would win. 

But what if someone, an x variable, gets thrown into the mix.

The clear blue ocean. 

No clouds can be seen. 

Here something unexpected happens that will change the fate and future of this world. 

A purple vortex opened and a figure was thrown out.
