The day started so wonderfull. Illustrious and me arrived at port in the moring and from far away i was already amazed by the base we will be staying at. It was so modern and pretty that you would suspect it more to be a museum or a base deep in the country, but that a base on the frontline was that pretty i couldnt have suspected it in a hundret years.

On our arrival i could already see the many people who ran around without a care in the world, well i can understand we arent in a war yet and the sirens are remaining moderately quiet.

I was a bit shy because of the new people but did manage to find many friends on the time we all could relax. The commander didnt even come to greet as as we arrived but he is a bad person so i was happy with that.

But amongst all, the destroyers Javelin and Laffey were my best friends who stayed with me the entire day long.

If only Athena was still here.

The sleepy Laffey and the energetic yet concerning Javelin along with my shy self got along really quickly and we spent the entire day having fun. Athena would have liked them.

Until my u-chan somehow got lost and we met an for me unknown person who ran away after she helped me get my U-chan back.

We had now late evening and the sun was low on the horizon behind the cliff we were standing on and we all agreed when we would meet next tomorrow until-

*WOOOOOoooooo*

-with one air raid siren everything went from relaxed to an straight up all out attack.

The sound of bombs and explosions asphalted our way down to the base, that was already in shambles the moment we arrived.

Within minutes everyone went to the docks and Cleveland, as the first in the battle, started a monulogue while starting to fight back.

I stayed back and helped the injured ships that couldnt sail out with the air defence.

Would it have just been the sirens we would have been hit hard but with the sakura empire also in the attack and judging on the damage they had already caused, the destruction we would have to suffer would completely destroy azur lane.

Hearing the screaming of my friends i had no other choice that to go into the fight myself. So i transformed u-chan into his true form and jumped on his back and equipped my surprisingly good looking rigging, it seems like the dive bombers targetted our battleships and aa.

I sent out my spitfires and flew out to help in any way possible.

Arriving on the battlefield i cleared out most of the siren planes while the others looked reliefed.

"Dont hurt my friends!" i yelled out and flew over Cleveland as my interceptors tried fighting against the sakura zeros.

Well tried, the sirens might be technically farther than us but even humanity built something that can outmanouver our interceptors with ease.

Against all odds i still fought with everything i had.

That is until Kaga transformed her rigging into her giant fox, this fox has helped us so much in the siren war but now i had to face this monster alone.
