Y/n POV

My alarm wakes me up as I groan awake. I tiredly walk to my bathroom and get in the shower. Then I go to my closet and put on boyfriend jeans and a striped crop top with a collar at the top. I brush my teeth then dry and curl my hair leaving it in wave curls. I do my makeup light. I don't want to be one of those type of girls that try too hard. I grab my cheer bag. Tryouts are today. I walk down stairs and see my parents and my five year old brother.

"Good morning sweetie." My mom says with a smile kissing my forehead as I sit down at the kitchen island.

We may live in Shadyside but we have a nice house. Of course that doesn't matter to me though, I'm thankful to even have a house.

My mom hands me a plate of pancakes. I began to eat as I look over at dad. He's reading the morning newspaper not looking at me. About two weeks ago I came out as a lesbian. My mom told me she loved me no matter what and a human is a human it doesn't matter. On the other hand, my dad was very homophobic and still is obviously.

As I finish eating I look at him sadly again. My mom sees this and rubs my back comfortingly. I get up accidentally screeching my chair on the floor which pisses him off. "God you can't do anything right you fucking bitch!" He yells slamming the newspaper down.

I gasp. He's never been like this before. Ever. Maybe it would just be better if I never came out at all. I look at my mom and she's taking him out of the room. My brother comes over and hugs me. I pick him up. "Hey, it's okay." I say reassuring him.

I walk over to my shoes with him on my hip and slip on my black and white converse. I put him down and sling my backpack over my shoulder. "We're leaving!" I yell as I open the door with my little brother's hand in mine.

Thank god my mom convinced my dad to not take away my car otherwise I'd have to walk like 20 minutes. As I'm putting my brother in the backseat I see a really pretty girl across the street. She has brown curly hair and brown eyes. She's beautiful.

"Come on, stop staring." My little brother says in his little five year old voice which makes me smile.

I shut his door and get in the drivers seat making my sure both my bags are in here. They are so I pull out making my way to school.

We arrive and I look around. This seems like a suspicious school. I like it. My brothers school is right beside mine so I get out and open his door. I take his hands and he has his book bag on. We walk over and I grab mine and we walk a hand in hand to his school. As I'm walking I see the girl from earlier. She's standing with I'm guessing her group of friends. There's a short brunette with a cheerleading outfit on. I'll probably meet her later. Beside her there's a boy with messy blonde hair. They're looking at me now so I quickly look away continue walking to his school.

Deena's POV

"Looks like somebody has a crush on you ladykiller." Kate says nudging me.

I watch as the mystery girl walks away with a little boy holding hands. Cute.

"Stop it." I say grinning.

"You need to get back out there it's been like a month now. Sam's moved on, sho should you." Simon says shaking my shoulders.

"Yeah yeah I know! You're right." I say.

"I've never seen her around here so she's probably new. We should invite her over next time she walks by." Kate says coming up with an idea.
