Y/n POV

"I need you to tutor Kate Schmidt this afternoon." My teacher Mrs. Miller says to me after she made me stay after class.

"What? No, isn't that one of those preppy cheerleaders?" I ask her rolling my eyes.

"She can't play cheer unless she passes this class so please." She says pleading. "I'll give you extra credit."

"Deal." I say. "When do we start?"

"Actually right now... Kate's waiting for you in the library." She says.

I scoff and sling my bag over my shoulder heading to the library.

"Okay bye, ladykiller." I hear as I walk in and a brunette walks out.

I pull out a chair and sit down. Before I could say anything the brunette beats me to it. "Kate." She says sticking her hand out for me to shake.

I hesitate but then shake her hand. "Y/n." I say softly.

This gives me time to take in Kate. She's very pretty, brunette hair, soft brown eyes, perfect teeth, and not to forget her sexy as hell voice.

"So u-um what are you having trouble with in English?" I ask.

I basically just went over everything we've been doing in English for the past week. I explained things differently then our teacher to see if that would help which it did because by the end Kate got all the questions right when I made her do a paper by herself.

Kate's actually really nice and fun to talk to, not that I'd ever admit it out loud. She'd never be friends with someone like me in the first place.

"So, do you have a boyfriend?" Kate asks out of the blue as we're packing our things up.

"Um no actually... I'm not even into men." I say carefully waiting for remarks but they don't come.

"Oh cool." She says.

"What? No feedback on how it's wrong or anything?" I ask in disbelief.

"Dude, I'm bisexual myself. My two best friends are a lesbian and one is unlabeled. Love is love and it's a shame the world doesn't see it like that." She says standing up with her backpack over her shoulder.

Damn, I was expecting her to be some homophobic asshole since she's like captain of the cheer team. I slung my bag over my shoulder and met her eyes. "I have to go discuss the tutor session to Mrs. Miller but same time tomorrow?" I ask as we walk out of the library.

"Actually...my friends and I are going to some haunted house walk-in thing tonight. Do you maybe wanna go with me?" She hesitantly asks while fidgeting with her ring on her finger.

"Like as in a date?" I ask searching her eyes.

To be honest, now that I've gotten to know her a little more and I know she's not some stuck up popular girl that thinks she's better then everyone else, I'd actually go on a date with her. She's obviously very beautiful but if I hadn't gotten to know her I would've never gone on a date with someone like her.

"If you want it to be?" She smiles at me showing her perfect smile.

"Do you want it to be?" I ask because I don't want to say yes if the feelings are one sided.

"Yeah." She says breathing out.

"Okay yeah." I say smiling tucking a hair behind my ear.

"We'll pick you up at 7:00. Be ready." She says before kissing my cheek then walking away. She winks at me as she walks around a corner.
