"Try and find another source that triggers your power, maybe then you'll be able to control it."

Tony was doing his best to advise you on control. Wanda even gave you a mini tutorial on her own powers in hopes that it would ease you into yours. They were all trying their best, and you appreciated it. It's why you felt so guilty. It was almost a month and you were nowhere closer to getting a handle on it. You wanted to be an asset, not a hindrance.

"This warrants a trip to the kitchen. "

Can't harness superpowers on an empty stomach.

When you get there you start digging into the cabinets in search of some salsa for the chips you just found. Your eyes caught a dagger on the table next to the fridge.

"Who the hell leaves a blade just lying around." A kitchen utensil you can understand, but that looks like it's been forged for battle. It did get busy, so it made sense for them to misplace their stuff every now and then.

As you turn to go through the next cabinet. Loki walks in. You can tell he doesn't think he'd run into you. Your grip tightens on the bag of chips, and you stay planted by the counter. You're trying your hardest not to show your unease. He keeps walking and you swallow.

"I'm not going to hurt you." He states, picking up the weapon. He flips it in his hand, and it's gone in a blink. He doesn't spare you another look, not one. As he makes his exit, you work up what little courage you have.

"I-I'm a coward!" you blurt out. He stops, but doesn't turn around.

"E-Even before this happened, I was scared of a lot of things. Afraid to apply for a promotion that I was qualified for, even though I was at the top of the list to be selected. Scared to ask the cute intern out because rejection terrified me. A-And...disgusted that I survived when so many people lost their lives. " It's then that Loki turns, the guilt is as clear as day.

"Nobody is perfect, not me, and certainly not you. I think my fear of what happened, then seeing you, I sort of created a defense mechanism to protect myself. There's still so much I don't really understand. But if you're really a changed man, then I'll try my best." You didn't completely trust him, but you had to find a way to. These headaches were triggered because of your own fear. You couldn't live like that.

"I'm sorry." That's all he says.

"I know."

You've finally managed to come to an understanding, sort of.
