The rain had been pouring for the entire walk to the Cottages. Hajime was so glad when he saw his door come into view. He stopped a moment to glance at Nagito as he noticed that he was no longer beside him.

"You could come to my room." He said with a smile. "It's closer, and I have a drying rack for our clothes."  As soon as the words escaped his lips, he was regretting it. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy Nagito's company, but he always felt drained after they hung out for too long.

"Are you sure?" Nagito paused a moment to look at his wet shoes, then managed to look Hajime in the eyes. "I really don't want to bother you."  He smiled sheepishly, licking the rain from his lips.

Hajime instinctively reached up and brushed the hair form Nagito's face. Nagito jumped at the unexpected touch. "It's not a bother. I'd like to continue talking to you."

"Oh....Ok, then." He stammered. "I would be happy to." His smile was so childlike and innocent that Hajime could not help but smile in return.

The room was warm and inviting. Hajime kicked off his shoes right when he hit the door.  Without any thought he unbuckled his belt, and slid his wet pants below his wait and wobbled to the bed. Once there, he sat on the edge removed the wet jeans completely. Nagito stood silently in the open doorway. Hajime looked up and let a small laugh escape his lips when he saw him there. Dripping with rain water, not sure of what to do next. "Come in already, or we may have to bail the water out the window soon."

Nagito recoiled a bit, then said a quick "Sorry," Before stepping into the small cottage and closing the door behind him. Hajime gave another little chuckle as he slid his soaking wet jeans off of his thin legs, and in a fluid movement draped them over the drying rack. A second later, his shirt and tie had joined them. Nagito had moved away from the door a few feet was still fully clothed. His green coat dripping water in little puddles on the floor. Hajime stood and walked to his dresser and removed a clean and dry pair of jeans and slipped them on effortlessly.

Nagito stayed his ground still unsure of what he was expected to do.  Hajime moved behind him, still smiling.  "Let me take your coat, dear sir."  He said, tugging on the shoulders and letting the coat fall a little off of Nagito's thin frame. Nagito caught the sleeves in his hand and prevented it from falling any further. "Come on, what kind of host would I be if you caught a cold?" Hajime said with a sad smile. Why does he act this way? It's like he would do anything to avoid taking care of himself. "It's ok...I'll give it back." Not wanting to upset him any further, Hajime stepped back, letting go of the hood.

Nagito turned slightly to look him in the eyes again. He smiled when he saw Hajime's bright smile.  He slowly took the coat the rest of the way off and handed it to Hajime. He had hoped that the coat had prevented the rest of him from getting wet, but it didn't. His shirt was drenched as well and stuck to his chest, revealing what little muscle remained.  Nagito was trying to find an excuse to leave, but his admiration for Hajime would not let him think of a good enough one. That's when he felt the tug on his t-shirt and panic rose as he felt it lifting closer to his head. With Hajime behind him as close as he was, Nagito knew that if he resisted any further he was risking hitting him with his elbow. He allowed the shirt to come off completely. Turning it inside out as it reached his out stretched hands. He immediately regretted that decision when he heard a shocked gasp coming from behind him.

"Oh, my god...Nagito, who did this to you?" Hajime's voice cracked as he spoke. His back was covered in small scars, and directly across from right shoulder to the bottom left of his side were three long scratches that had not completely healed. Also along the back of his neck was a purplish mark that resembled a ring, as if he had been shackled. Nagito shrank away from his touch, turning to give him a big smile.  "It's nothing. I'm just super clumsy."  He said hurriedly as he tried in vain to put the shirt back on. Hajime held out a hand and took the shirt form his hands before he could unravel it. Then Hajime saw the small cuts and scars on Nagito's arms.
