-CA and CB (character a and character b) live in an apartment together-
*CB comes home late one night/walks into the kitchen for a midnight snack/drink to find CA sitting at their island counter*

CA was just sitting in the dark, drinking a cup of coffee/tea. CB came into the kitchen and flicked on the light, doing their thing before noticing CA. "Oh sh- CA, you scared me. What are you doing up?" They asked. CA didn't answer, but was visibly shaking; CB noticed tears dripping into the cup and on the counter and sighed. "What's the matter?" CA looked up at them and shook their head, taking a sip of their coffee/tea. "Nothing you should worry about." They respond quietly and shakily.
