"Junpei what are you doing?!"
You exclaimed after staring at him for what felt like forever. But before you could try and convince him to stop, he ran off trying to get away from the both of you.
Yuuji was quick to follow and you decided to catch up to him from another route. You used the shadows around the area formed by the veil to your advantage and traveled through them.
You could see Yuuji starting to use his cursed energy to stop Junpei but he was quick to use his jellyfish shikigami to prevent himself from getting hit but the impact of Yuuji punishing the shikigami caused him to be pushed back a bit.
You appeared behind your childhood friend and tried to capture him with your shadows but his shikigami was quick to try and sting you. Luckily, you managed to form a coating on your skin made of shadows before it touched you.
"Stay out of this, [Y/N]. Please. I don't want to hurt you." Junpei begged for you to leave.
You narrowed your eyes. "I'm not going to leave you here, Junpei! This isn't right!" You raised your voice.
"It's none of your business!" He shot back.
Yuuji's cursed energy had started to form. "That's not something you get to decide!" He yelled.
"Whats the point of indiscriminate salvation?" Junpei asked, "Don't mistake the value of a life!" He yelled, his jellyfish shikigami wrapping its tentacles around Yuuji.
"People pretend their emotions are everything, but the heart is just the metabolism of the soul. It's all a delusion! Don't restrict me with rules that are based on delusion. No one has the right to stop anyone from taking what lives they can. Just sleep over there, there's still something I have to go back and do." Junpei said turning to you and walking forward.
You stepped back. "That doesn't sound like you at all!" You gasped. "Who...Who told you that?!" You asked.
He stopped when he felt someone grab him. "Who are you making excuses for?" Yuuji asked, forcing his way out of the jellyfish trap.
But Junpei pushed him and his shikigami's tentacles hit you out the way so that Junpei could run. The shikigami focused on Yuuji while you continued to try and atleast knock your friend out.
But Yuuji's hit on the jellyfish pushed you and Junpei out of the window. You stared at Junpei, who had a look of defeat and anger.
You looked up and saw his jellyfish falling above you. You furrowed your brows and interlocked your fingers.
"Hokaku (capture)" You unleashed your cursed technique, shadows wrapping itself around the jellyfish and pulling it down underneath Junpei so he wouldn't have much of a hard fall.
