"And it actually is." Kugisaki answered the question. You quietly stalked towards the blonde on the broom.
You had left Toge for a while to see if anyone you knew was close by and in need of some help.
"That's only for men. Even if they are strong, women have to be cute, or they'll be undervalued. Of course, even if they're cute, they'll still be undervalued if they're not also strong. The girl recovered from her shock and started to fly off, dodging Kugisaki's cursed nails, while talking about Maki and how she was expected to be perfect.
"You think misfortune is a free pass to do anything? What, then? You're satisfied with those who are blessed getting trash-talked behind their backs? I can't stand her, regardless of her upbringing. And I love Maki-san, who endured the same upbringing. Have you all even bothered to think about what kind of person the idiot you're trying to curse is? What makes us obligated to meet such perfection or such absurd demands? Is your entire life just a job?!" Kugisaki yelled.
She then used her cursed technique and all the nails she had hit around the forest started to explode. You started sprinting towards the broom, Nishimiya grit her teeth when she looked down at you.
You warped below her broom and grabbed the bristles on it. "You might have kicked me down once, but you won't reach me!" Nishimiya exclaimed narrowing her eyes and kicking your shoulder.
"It wasn't my intention." You mumbled dropping down and handing Kugisaki the bristles you pulled out, "No, she reached you. This is plenty! I don't give a damn about 'men' this and 'women' that! You can keep that shit to yourselves! And I love myself for being strong! I am..." Kugisaki hammered the nail into the straw doll. "Kugisaki Nobara!"
Nishimiya started to fall down, you watched Kugisaki run to her and pull out a squeaky hammer. She hit Nishimiya on her cheek. "One more time!" She yelled aiming once again.
That was when you heard a gun being fired.
"Kugisaki! you suddenly yelled running to her and grabbing her shoulder pushing the both of you out of the way. However the impact of her hitting the ground seemed to knock her out. 'God, she has sharp aim.'
You grit your teeth and hit the ground, the shadows around the area suddenly forming underneath Nishimiya and wrapping around her tightly. You glared at her, standing up, without a word you started to listen. You could hear gunshots in the distance.
You jumped onto the trees and started heading to towards the sounds but you stopped when you saw a glimpse of Maki's hair.
'This is Maki-sans fight... she needs to prove her worth even if she's one of the strongest women I've known.' You thought changing your route, deciding to head back to killing curses. 'She can handle this fight
