Lincoln's POV

"Ow." I rubbed my head. The wound in my stomach had closed leaving me only with torn clothes.
"Transponder must be broken". I tapped on my earpiece to try and get a signal to no avail.
I looked around me, pieces of shrapnel and metal from the battle raging up above were strewn across the beach.
The ruins were inside the mountain in the middle of island. That would take ten minutes if I hauled ass. Which it seemed I had no choice but to. Lest humanity be destroyed. Last time I was here it was V.V's test. Suzaku, Lelouch, Kallen and Euphie... things were simpler then. More straightforward. Lelouch, Euphie and me were trapped together. We tried to trap animals, Lelouch came up with such an amazing trap accounting for all possibilities. But that man can't even run half the schoolyard without stopping for air. Eventually I had to chase after our dinner. It was fun. This was before the SAZ massacre, before suzaku and... well, speak of the devil. Suzaku and Anya Alstreim and... C.C? What?

I crouched behind the shrubbery. Suzaku seemed to be unconscious, Anya had a marker in her hand but stopped short of him waking up. I decided now would be a good time to reveal myself.

"Anya Alstreim. What the hell are you doing here?" I procured a pistol and pointed it at the trio.
"C.C or slave girl? Which one is it?" C.C body language wasn't what Lelouch had described C.C as now, they were the same of her pre-memory wipe.

"C.C right now." She responded, I smirked.
"And you Kururugi. Mass murderer now is it? Damn hypocrite." I remarked to the dazed Suzaku.
"So, why are you all here? It's not purely coincidence, Zero's mistress, The White Knight and The Pink Terror. So why are you here?" I asked them. Anya dropped her marker and faced me. Her eyes had a red outline to them, like she was under the control of Geass.
"Lincoln... you've grown." Erhm... what?
"No, you're just short, Alstreim." I fired back at her. Her voice pattern was... strange. It wasn't what she was like in Ashford. She was much more extroverted and clear. Anya chuckled.
