Hardin's POV:

As I'm waiting in my car, for Tessa to come down and get in into her cab, so that I could follow her and give her surprise by showing up as her date, at that wedding.

God. I'm sound like some stalker.

But I'm doing this for her, though she will get piss at me for this, on the other hand its worthy it.

After I headed out from her room, I drove myself at my apartment and got cleaned up along with the place too, it was kinda filthy. Then I wore the appropriate suit for the wedding and drove back here.

It's now eleven-thirty, she'd be coming down in any minute now. Or she's already gone? Fuck. That would mess up my surprise.

I glance at the hotel's entrance again and there is she. Damn. She looks beautiful. She always do, but damn.

I couldn't properly scan her whole look but from where am I, she looks stunning in the blue dress. I am not so far from her, just couple of cars behind but she looks ravishing.

As she gets in the cab and drive off to her destination. Also starting my car, I begin to follow her. Like a stalker, only the difference is I'm not going to hurt her.

And we get to the location, as she gets out from the car and walks in, opening the door behind some church, I park my car at the lot and wait inside for her to come out.

Ten minutes later, the door opens and herd of women comes out, with them Tessa too, talking with her friend, the bride. Wait.

There's another bride too, behind a few feets far from them and no groom in sight.

And then it's click me that, her friend is a gay and this is a gay-wedding. Nothing is wrong with that. I'm just surprise and happy for the couple, whom I don't know a single shit about.

As they stands in their allotted positions, I get out from my car and head towards them. Only few steps away from Tessa, I stop in my path and look at her. She is looking at the ground, all alone, where as few ladies behind her are standing with their dates.

She didn't notice me, only then, when I approach and stand next to her and ask into her ear, "She's gay?" She jolts back from the shock.

"W-what? Who?" She startles.

"Your friend, Josephine." I point out at the bride. That is her name, right?

"Josie! Yes. She is." She corrects me. "What are you doing here?" She asks through her teeths.
Oh shit. She is angry.

"I'm here...as your date." I states and the music begins.

"Oh God, Hardin. I told you not to." She scolds but keeps her voice low.

"I know." I shrug and she glares at me. "Sorry. For not dressing up in navy blue, like others." I point out at the other men behind me.

"Are you serious?" She puts her hand on her hips. "I'll talk to you later." She tells me, as the couple before us starts to walk ahead.

"Yeah, thats a good idea." I loop my arm around hers, she looks down at them and back at me. "You look beautiful by the way."

She rolls her eyes. "So you do." She surprise me by saying that.

And we start our amble down the aisle too. Smiling, arm in arm we finishes our walk, listens the vows, not me, the other guests. My focus is only on Tessa and her beautiful smile and the tears from her eyes.

After eating our food, which was...not bad, but I personally didn't like it. Though I was hungry so I scarf down almost two plates, almost.

"They seems happy." I say seeing the newly wed couple dancing, as we sit down at one of the tables. "Jo..." what the hell is her name?

"Josie and Hope?"

"Yes, them." I look at Tessa and she has a bit furious look in her face.

"Seriously? After I told you the reason for you to not come here. You still came." She sternly says. "You are famous now, Hardin."

"What? This is ridiculous." I roll my eyes. "I. Am. Not. Famous. Theresa. I don't ever be." Why does she thinks that? It's been only half a months since my book got published.

"Are you Hardin Scott?" Someone asks and I turn to look at the person. It's a blonde girl.

"Yes, he is. Oh my god." The girl behinds her squeals.

"I'm Eliza and this is Cindy." She points at the curly dark-haired one behind her. "And we are fans of your book, After. So can we have a picture with you?" She requests.

"I...I..." I shutter.

"Please." Both says in unison.

"Go." Tessa whispers and put her hand on my thigh, down the table.

"Okay, sure." I stand between them.

"If you don't mind. Can you take our photo?" The blonde asks to my blonde.

"Sure." Tessa stands up and take the girl's phone. Her face doesn't have any type of discomfort and uneasiness, which is good. Only if she'd be hiding it, then that would be a problem. "Ready?" She asks.

"Yes." The girls says and I nod. Don't know what to do with my hands, so I put them into my pants pocket.

"Smile." Tessa says and I do just that, looking at her. Few clicks later she hands the phone to the girl.

"Thanks." The girl says.

"My pleasure." I wave at them and they go, smiling, giggling, laughing in their way.

"See, told you. FAMOUS." Tessa says when I turn to her and see a beaming smile throwing at me. I just nod, because there's nothing I've to say when she's right.

As the other song begins, I recognize it. And I've to distract her.

So I ask her, "Can we dance?"

"What?" Astounds by my suggestion.

"Dance! Have a dance with me. It's the perfect song for it, isn't it? And you like this one." I take her hand in mine and drag her towards the dance floor with me. "So, let's relive the moment. Shall we?"

"Do you even know how to dance?" She puts her hand on my shoulder.

"Not really." I shake my head. "But you'll show me, right?" My hand goes to her hips and pull her close to me.

"Of course, I'll." She tightens her fingers on my shoulder and leads the way.

"You are so gorgeous." I tell her. The white light above us, makes her eyes even blue than it is, now matching with her dress. Making her a heavenly angel. "Magnificently hot." I say into her ear. And she blushes, cheeks all red.

"You do too, charming. With wearing this suit." She rests her other hand over my chest. Now I feel my cheeks getting red, by her compliment.

Pulling her even closer to me, we sway back and froth holding together. I curse myself for stepping on her feet few times. I should have practise a bit.

She only laughs at my jokes for the terrible music choice they have, after few songs later and she agrees a little with that.
