I FEAR THAT APOLOGY.

your apology hurts,
even in dreams.

an apology i longed,
feared equally,
perhaps thought
it would heal me?

i fear that apology.

an apology to be excused.
you will be excused

in front of them all
but in my court...

with that apology,
you will turn away.

with that apology,
you will never return.

with that apology then you
turn to tread away.
leaving me to wail!
you get to leave! and i stay?

but dare not i say, 'stay!',
for you willingly leave...

wait what will people say?!

in silent turmoil,
i lay lifeless reminiscing.
it was a dream,
but dare not i sigh.

for i fear, the raw pain your apology seeped in me in a dream...

would actually
suck the breath out of me
had i ever faced you.

so i fear your apology.

a name
depletes strength,
a name
I wonder why

became too noticeably,

torturous.
