POETS ARE DESPERATE

desperation poet,
you are habituated.
your heart
fails to solace itself
until you have inked the thoughts.
qalam urges to ink
the sorrows through letters
on this night so starry.
these scars will reside,
eternally i know later
if i leave the sheets be in my diary.
either way,
if i am to throw away...

memories everlast.
