"On my way down to coordinate search and rescue." Steve Roger speaks.

Laverna watches as their Prisoner suddenly transforms into the guy known as Steve Rogers, enemy. Before, he was dressed in almost complete green leather clothes.

The Avengers enter the elevator, and she goes out of her hiding spot towards the tower.

She locates the Tesseract in a metal suitcase, carried by Tony Stark, enemy. The Agents and Stark struggle for the case. That's her chance. Otherwise, it will hand in the hands of S.H.I.E.L.D., dangerous enemy.

She enters the building. In other times she would have raised suspicion, but nobody really acknowledges her because she looks like one of the Agents with her outfit and the tumult. She walks straight up to the man that picked up the case. As he walks to a door, Hulk slams through it. Laverna and the Tesseract end up in front of the Prisoner.

He looks down at the Tesseract and then at her. But she only takes a look at the Tesseract before she grabs it.

While everyone's attention is either on the Hulk or Tony Stark laying on the floor, he grabs a hold of the Tesseract. Laverna stands up and reaches for the Prisoner's arm, to get the Tesseract back, but suddenly her vision goes black.

She can faintly hear a voice screaming for someone named Loki.

GOBI DESERT, MONGOLIA
2012

Laverna wakes up and looks around. It seems that she is in a desert. A couple of meters away, she can see another person laying. She walks over and identifies him as the Prisoner, or maybe Loki, as the voice said.

He starts to wake up, and she walks away to take a look around. By now, her superiors know that she failed, and she will be put in that chair that hurts her head again.

She notices people approaching and only watches from afar. 'Loki' stands up and sprints over to a rock.

"I am Loki of Asgard. And I am burdened with glorious purpose." He speaks on the rock. So he is this Loki person. Laverna has never heard of him, so she doesn't know if he's dangerous.

The woman answers in Mongolian. But Laverna doesn't listen to her, as she can feel something is about to happen. She walks slowly back to Loki and the people.

"I..." Before Loki can finish, an orange portal opens.

Several People, or Soldiers as it looks, walkthrough.

"Never mind." He tries to get to the Tesseract. "Don't touch that." He says to them.

Laverna is standing on the right side of the people, as a second orange portal opens beside her. She takes a step away.

"Appears to be a standard sequence violation. Branch is growing at a stable rate and slope. Variant identified." The women soldier speaks as she looks at a thing in her hands.

"I beg you pardon," Loki speaks up.

"On behalf of the Time Variance Authority, I hereby arrest you for crimes against the Sacred Timeline. Hands up." All soldiers power up their weapons. "You're coming with us."

"I'm sorry. Who's 'us'? And why only me, she teleported with me." He points at Laverna. She doesn't react, only studying the situation and trying to make an escape plan if things go south.

"Last chance, Variant." The woman warns him and ignores his question. Instead, she too powers up her weapon.

Loki chuckles. "It's been a very long day, and I think I've had my fill of idiots in armoured suits telling me what to do, so, if you don't mind, this is actually your last chance. Now get out of my way."

The woman soldier strikes him with her weapons. He falls back in slow motion. She approaches and places a collar on Loki.

Laverna watches interested, she has never seen such technology, and it sparks her interest. Maybe if she could get her hands on that, her superior would forget about the Tesseract incident.

"You are now moving at 1/16th speed, but feeling all that pain in real-time." The woman explains to Loki, who's still moving very slowly.

"You" she turns around and points at Laverna, "Come with us too."

Laverna only nods. Her brain tells her that she needs to follow this soldier because she is given an order.

Loki falls to the ground, returning to moving in real-time.

"Reset the timeline." The soldier orders. The others place something on the ground and activate it.

The soldier motions for Laverna to go through the orange portal. She does so, and the woman follows with Loki, which she pulls along.
