The Dark Angel¹

5.3 𝑅𝑒𝑢𝑛𝑖𝑡𝑒 & 𝑅𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇

The four Loki's and Laverna are walking, with Kid Loki holding a tracking device. 

"I have to say, it feels odd walking toward the gargantuan creature. Do you have a plan of action?" Classic Loki asks after walking for a while. 

"Get inside, find its heart or brain or whatever, and then, you know, do it in," Loki explains. 

"I mean..." Kid Loki seems not overly convinced. 

"Okay, just because it's not complicated doesn't mean it's bad." Laverna stands up for him. 

"It also doesn't mean it's good." 

Alligator Loki growls as an answer to Kid Loki. 

"See? He's onboard." Laverna smirks at him. 

"He's praying. He thinks we're going to die." Classic Loki translates. 

The device in Kid Loki's hand beeps. 

Right now, they are standing on a hill and watching a pruned reality arrive, the USS Eldridge military ship. The crew clamours on the deck. 

"All hands to battle stations!" A sailor screams. 

"Alioth is like any animal. He'll go after the big meal first. And while he's busy with that, we can sneak around the back and..." Loki explains his plans. 

Alioth bellows as it approaches the USS Eldridge. 

"Fire!" The same sailor screams again. 

The ship fires into Alioth. The purple cloud envelopes the screaming crew. 

Alioth recedes, leaving a dilapidated ship and no survivors. 

Loki starts to look nervous. 

"Okay. Maybe we should think a bit more about this, huh?" Laverna mocks him. 

Kid Loki glances at his device and turns around. 

"Car." He speaks up. 

The others turn around towards it. 

"What?" Loki and Laverna ask at the same time. 

"Along the horizon." Classic Loki speaks. 

"Is that bad?" Laverna questions. 

Kid Loki looks at her. "Well, usually means cannibalistic marauders or cannibalistic pirates." 

She nods unsure. He gives her hand a squeeze to show that he's here for her. 

"Delightful. Now they're slowing down." Loki observes. 

"What are they doing?" Classic Loki seems to not know the answer for once.

"Just stay on guard," Laverna commands. She can feel a familiar presence in the car. 

The vehicle finally stops and Sylvie gets out.

"Sylvie." She and Loki speak in unison. 

He runs towards her. Or, as Laverna likes to think, towards his future wife. Although she doesn't completely trust her yet. 

"I don't understand. Is he a coward, or was he being brave?" Classic Loki seems puzzled. 

"I'm not too sure." Kid Loki answers while grabbing Laverna's hand more firmly. 

"Come on." Laverna starts walking over.

When Sylvie sees the group coming towards them, she gets into a fighting position. 

"Oh, no, wait, wait, wait, these are my friends. Well, they're, um... How best to put this? Us as a child, us in the future, and us as an alligator. It's best not to question it." He points at each Loki. "And of course, you know Laverna."
