As promised, it's up. I almost cried writing this chapter. Holy man it's bad. :/ Don't hate me (or Nathan) please!
I'll try and update within the week, but it may be a little later because I'm trying to cut down on the time I spend on the computer. =P
READ, COMMENT, VOTE, ENJOY! :D

For the second time in a week, Lizzie was awoken by someone banging on her front door. Loud and hard.
She sat bolt upright, eyes wide, and stared into the dark, clutching Nathan's hand. There were no mirrors in her room, but when she had to use the washroom, well, that was a different story. She'd just have to find a way around that.
"Nathan, wake up," she whispered harshly, turning to take a look at the alarm clock. It read 9:42 am. She was sleeping in way too much lately. Shaking Nathan's shoulder lightly, she tried again. "Wake up."
He rolled over and nearly on top of her. "No."
"Nathan, someone's knocking. I have to go get it."
"No you don't," he grumbled, hooking his arm around her waist and dragging her closer. "They can deal. Jus' lemme go back to sleep."
Lizzie thought about fighting but decided against it, sinking into Nathan's warmth, ready to fall asleep again.
But the knocking continued, so loud and insistent her ears were starting to ring. Nathan noticed and growled, freeing Lizzie from his hold as she slid out of bed. "Better be important," he muttered, and threw the covers off himself to follow her.
Lizzie shivered when she stood in front of the door, remembering how little clothing she had on and how close to winter it was getting. Was it October already? Time was falling through her fingers like sand in an hourglass.
She opened the door and nearly screamed when Connor shoved through and barrelled his way into her house without invitation.
"You," he snarled. "What the fuck did you tell Madi?" Connor had never spoken to her like this. She felt Nathan walk in behind her, and she backed up to lean against his chest for support. He snaked his arms around her waist in comfort, resting his chin on her shoulder, and Connor stopped short and glared hatefully at Nathan. "What are you doing?
"I told her the truth," Lizzie muttered, anger building in her gut. "She deserved to know."
Nathan's voice rumbled out beside her ear, ruffling a tendril of red hair. "I'm hugging her. What's it look like I'm doing."
Connor glared darkly at them, but suddenly his mouth pulled into a grim smile. She felt Nathan tense behind her and she wondered why Connor smiling would make Nathan nervous.
"Lizzie-" Connor started, but she furiously cut him off.
"Don't you dare call me Lizzie! I am Elizabeth to you," she snapped, removing Nathan's arms from her waist so she could stab Connor in the chest with a finger. "You are the most vile, cruel person I have ever met." As she spoke, she moved forward and backed him into her living room, her anger reaching a crescendo as her pokes turned into painful punches. "You entered a relationship with me, knowing what kind of person I was, knowing you were married. You cheated on your amazing wife for nearly a year, and the only reason I even found out was because of Nathan. Your best friend! And then you went and stole his car?! What the hell is wrong with you! Why would you do all of that!" By this time she'd backed Connor onto her couch, and he was looking at her with a mixture of fear and dark humour. What the hell did he find funny? She glowered threateningly and was about to punch him in the nose when he spoke up.
