February 11, 1991

Stevie shot up with a gasp when she heard Lindsey's alarm clock go off. "What the fuck?"

"Sorry, I have to start getting ready for work and I have to get up to get the kids ready for school." Lindsey tells her. It was their second night sleeping together and Lindsey was finding it harder to control himself. He liked her a lot and it was so tempting to just start kissing her, but he was trying to hold off because he didn't want to do anything to disrupt what they had going for them at the moment.

"it's five in the morning." She whines.

"I know. I have to get in the shower get into my uniform. At five-thirty I have to wake Emily up so she can take a shower, and then I have to make my own breakfast and eat. At six-thirty I have to get Stella up for school and then at that point I have to start making breakfast and getting lunches ready and backpacks and Stella's Friday Folder, and there's just not enough time in the morning." He looks at her.

"I can cook breakfast." She looks up at him.

"Don't worry about it." Lindsey shakes his head.

"No, I want to...what do they normally eat?" She asks.

"Well I can't cook. So I throw oatmeal into the microwave or I give them cereal. If I had gone grocery shopping sometimes I give them a muffin, there's toast...yogurt." He lists.

"I'll make omelets." Stevie shakes her head.

"DO you want me to wake you up at six then?" He asks.

"No, No...I'm okay...I'm up now so I'm just going to be up."

"Yeah, but you went to bed about four hours ago." He rolls his eyes. She had been up writing in the backyard and he finally felt her slide in around one in the morning.

"I know, I can take a nap on the couch while you guys are at work and school." Stevie shrugs.

"Okay. If you insist. Are you going to be okay here by yourself?" Lindsey asks.

"I think I'll be fine...Luna's here. and I'll just keep the curtains drawn, and the doors locked." Stevie shrugs.

"Alright. I've gotta get in the shower. Do you need the bathroom?"

"I do , but I'll go upstairs. What do you want in your omelet?" She asks.

"I don't have much, It's payday so we're going grocery shopping tonight. I have onions, green peppers, cheese, and ham."

"Alright. I'll figure it out." Stevie tells him.

Stevie was watching something stupid on the television when she heard frantic knocks on Lindsey's front door. She cocked an eyebrow and she went towards it, looking through the peephole when she saw Karen freaking out on the patio. She flung the door open and Karen let out a sigh of relief.

"I got to your house and there was like police lines...what happened?" Karen asks.

"Do you know those stalker-ish fan letters I got?" Stevie asks biting her lip.

"I do..."

"He broke into my house. Now I can't look at the place or I freak out and I've been staying here with Lindsey and the girls...we're sharing a bed."

"You and one of the girls."

"No, me and Lindsey...we've cuddled the last two nights, and I think I've had the best sleep I've had in such a long time." Stevie sighs.

"Are you sleeping together...or SLEEPING together?"

"We haven't done anything sexual." Stevie rolls her eyes.

"But you want too."

"Oh I want too..." Stevie nods.

"You've been worming your way into this family for two months now, since you're here, if you're serious about wanting to try a relationship with Lindsey, then you should do something about it." Karen tells her.

"Valentines Day is on Thursday."

"So take him out and do something." Karen shrugs.

"Could I? Shouldn't the man ask the woman?'

"Stevie, it's the nineties. Ask the man out." Karen scolds.

"Anyway, you're supposed to be on vacation. What's going on?"

"I heard whispers about the break in, but I didn't want to believe it and I freaked when I saw that it actually happened." Karen shrugs.

"Well, I'm okay, you can back on your vacation." Stevie rolls her eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm okay...I'm a little freaked out about being alone, but Luna helps." She points to the dog who was laying by the couch. She lifted her head and Stevie reached down and rubbed her side.

Stevie had made meatball stew for dinner and as she was putting the dishes away, Lindsey leaned up against the bar.

"What?" Stevie asks.

"Would you um, would you like to go out to dinner on Thursday?" He asks.

"Where?" She asks.

"I don't know, where do you want to go?" He asks.

"I'll set it up...just me and you, or the girls too?"

"Nah, There's no school on Friday because it's a teacher work day, so Stella's spending the night at a friends house and Emily has dance. So as long as we can pick her up by nine-forty-five and drop her off by 5:15, we'll be golden." Lindseys shrugs.

"You're never off by 5:15..." Stevie trails off.

"I know she gets picked up by one of her dance friends." Lindsey smirks.

"You look sexy in your uniform so would it be okay if you just pick me up right after your shift?" Stevie asks.

"Sure...I'll honk outside the house." He rolls his eyes.

"Good...now help me with these dishes." Stevie smirks.

"Yes ma'am." Lindsey rolls his eyes.

Stevie jumped in the shower after the dishes were done and as she was standing under the stream of Lindsey's showers bit her lip. She had gained a little weight after rehab, and while she wasn't necessarily happy with her body, she still felt sexy and the wheels started turning. She was going to make her move on Thursday but she didn't know how she was going to do it yet, but she wanted it to involve her body. Her hips had always been the best part of her, even though she had wide hips and a bigger bottom she loved them and she had breast implants, so her boobs were nice and perky, but at the same time she was nervous about what Lindsey would think of her. She just shook herself out of it though and washed her hair.
